  • Just returned from Glory/First Cruise

Hi Thought I'd post to say we returned Saturday from our cruise on the Glory.  We had a GREAT time and needless to say, I'm now wanting to plan another! To all those first timers out there, I thought I'd share some observations about the many things we worry about beforehand and the reality (that I observed!)  These are in ...

  • Re: Camp Carnival and tipping

Thanks!  I'm glad to know they split the tips and that the same people will be with the children the whole time.  My daughter is 10 and I'm not sure how much time she will spend at Camp Carnival but I know the same faces daily will be a good thing! One last question...how much have you tipped for a week?  Just want to have ...

  • Re: Casino

I have a dumb question as I haven't been in a Casino more than once or twice and this will be my first time in a ship's casino! I like the idea of having a set limit and really just want to have a little fun. How do the slot machines work?  Do you use chips?  If so, do you use your S&S card to pay for these?  ...

  • Re: Second Cruise

How do they know you are a past guest?  I cruised once on Carnival in 1992!  And this time when we booked, we got a senior discount (my aunt is coming and she is considered a senior, much to her surprise!)  The senior discount was actually a better rate than the past guest.  But it would be fun to go to the past guest ...

  • Camp Carnival and tipping

I read somewhere here that it's a good idea to tip the counselors at Camp Carnival.  Are the same counselors there every day?  Have  people tipped at the end of the cruise or daily?  And do you give the tip to the head counselor (assuming there is one?) I'm not sure how many counselors there will be (this is our first ...

  • Flight info/booked through Carnival

Hi, I booked our air through Carnival and have seen the flight info (even wrote it down!) but today since I want to print everything, I can't find it! Does anyone know what tab I can find it under?  Thanks

  • Bacab Adventure Park Belize

Has anyone done any of the tours through Carnival at Bacab Adventure Park?  How far is the ride from the Pier?  I looked in a few Cruise Travel Guides and they're not listed!  The Carnival website offers 5 tours through them, Kayaking, Horseback Riding, Biking, butterfly tour and rainforest tour.   We ...

  • Re: frozen drinks, drinks on ship and bonine/dramamine!

Thanks for all your replies!  Our first stop is Cozumel so I think I will buy some bottled water there for the rest of the trip or perhaps before boarding in FL as someone else recommended. I don't tend to get motion sickness nor does my daughter...I just thought I should be prepared!  Thanks!

  • frozen drinks, drinks on ship and bonine/dramamine!

OK, three random questions...  Is bottled water insanely expensive and is that why people bring it on board with them?  Is it an extra charge on the ship?  While it sounds like it's a good idea to bring your own, I can't imagine lugging soda and water from NY to FL even if it is in my checked lugggage (not to mention, ...
