We have had the same experience with the sales pitch. I booked my wife for a Hot Stone Massage and she enjoyed that a lot. When pushed and pushed on the expensive "products" , over $300 of stuff she finally told them she would have to ask her husband. On that they told her I was no good for inposing ...

Yeah, I'll throw my vote in for Malcolm, too. He was our CD on our 2006 Christmas Cruise (Imagination). Malcolm definitely kept things lively, even in the corridors. We were all "woo hoo"ing all over the ship.

Look for "The Girlfriends Family & Friends" group. Ask for Karla, Diana D. or Yoti. I hate that I won't be able to meet you guys, personally. I had to bow out due to current employment challenges. But, my girls are still going.

Great. Maybe you and your BF, PoisonIvy8 and my group can meet up somewhere/sometime on the ship.

Galetines: I'm sorry you missed the photo opt. It's beautiful. But, more people take pics of the GGMB and oogle it than eat it. Carnival was ...

The Girlfriends, Family and Friends are cruising on Destiny July 18-23, 2009. Anyone else on this ship?

Yep, Bayside Marketplace is the place to go. My son and I were there Christmas Season 2006. We stayed at the Port of Miami Holiday Inn, which is directly across the street from Bayside. It is definitely lively--a pre-Caribbean flavor.
It was the perfect pre-cruise stay. We did early check-in at the hotel, take a nap, then ventured over ...
