  • Re: cameras and photos

I've never had anything stolen, I also don't go off leaving anything of value just sitting around. Take your camera, just use common sense.

  • Re: Question about Bahamas

Actually, the Bahamas are an independent country - they got their independence from Britain back in the early 70's (73, if I remember correctly). I lived there as a child and went back every summer to visit my grandmother.

  • Re: Mayan Ruins

One more vote for Tulum ... but I would take the Carnival excursion. It's a long day, we just barely made it back on time but knowing that the ship would wait took a load off our minds. The ferry from Coz to Playa Del Carmen can be a bit rough, so if anyone suffers from seasickness they should take their drug of choice before you go. Take ...

  • Re: Just curious. Carnival or Royal carribbean?

IMHO: I think they are more similar than different - great service on both, great itineraries, - Carnival has larger staterooms and better food Royal has better shows and no "Vegas" decor I wouldn't turn down a cruise on either one

  • Re: Underwater Camera Case for Canon sd780is camera

I got a DiCAPac case from Amazon for about $30 for my Canon. It works great, make sure and try it out with paper towels in the sink first. I took it snorkeling a couple of times and it took great pics - you can zoom with it on, too. No more worries about sand, either.

  • Re: snorkeling and your valuables

Check Amazon for the Pacsafe Travel safe. We use it lots of places, on the boats for snorkel excursions, on the beach (we attach it to the umbrella and put it up in the 'ribs'), in hotels without safes, and in my car on the OMG bar - I can leave my GPS and Ipod in it and leave the top down, dd even used it on her bike once, locked the ...

  • Re: Carnival Glory or Carnival Legend?

Another vote for the Legend. I think it's much easier to get around - there are a couple of "you can't get there from here" places on the Glory. Loved the Legend

  • Re: cozumel

The cab was about $13/cab - we found another couple going and split the cost. There is no 'entrance fee' at PB, if you want to use the water toys (inflatable ice-berg, slide, and trampolines) it's $10. Chairs and umbrellas are free to use - they do ask you to spend a little $$$ on food (best guacamole anywhere!) and drink - easy to ...

  • Re: Eary fair question.

It depends on what fare you booked - early savers do not allow name changes - others will for a $50 name change fee. Have fun, smooth sailing

  • Re: Do you... Drive & Cruise or Fly & Cruise

We always drive (insert long story about a our last horrible flight in 1978 here!!), we live in middle Tennessee and have driven to Port Canaveral, Tampa, Mobile, and NOLA.  We have a strange situation where our house is rented out for a 10 day horse show every year, so we leave a few days before the cruise and beach it for a couple of days ...
