Khakis would work,  but if you are concerned about her feeling uncomfortable, I would plan to take an hour or so one day during your cruise and wash an outfit or two for her in the laundry. $2.00/wash $2.00/dry. Just a quicker check in.......and a VERY nice room! BTW, when you go to embark, make sure you go to the VIP check in, otherwise, you'll stand in line and THEN be told to go to the VIP check in.  You're luggage tags will say VIP on them and they are purple instead of black and white.

Your luggage is not to big....it can be 30" tall, 24" wide and 16" deep......I double checked last night because I was worried about mine!
