depending on your airline I think carnival offers a program I think they charge you $15 or so per bag to have them checked for you. If not I think the airline would allow you to check your bag. Well, the hotel I can not comment on but the wifi I can. Carnival is not missing any chance to get some good $$$ for that service. I can honestly say that is one of the only draw backs to cruising. We went to Cozumel last July. The hours in port were different than Destiny.  We took a cab out to Chankanaab (I think I am spelling it correctly?). There was so much to do there.  I will bring about 3 to 4 bottles. Which should be more than enough...you can only drink so much wine...well most of the time. Enough to bring a glass to dinner and have one on the balcony each day at least.  Each person can bring a bottle. I will put some in checked baggage and some in the carry on.  I see a lot of thunder storms ...
