I have done two cruises on each and I prefer Royal. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed my Carnival cruises, especially my recent Legend voyage. I find that there are more activities that I personally enjoy on Royal... I love the rock wall, but I am not big on water slides. It's just a personal preference. Carnival's staterooms and beds ...

Half Moon Cay is a private island. Don't expect an internet cafe there.

You don't NEED to take your BC, but I take mine. I leave it in the safe and take my passport with me ashore. That way, if I have an emergency or miss the ship, I can fly from the port with no problems and if something happens and I lose my passport (or it is stolen) I can still get back into the US with the BC.

We also went to Chankanaab. If you google them, you can find a $2 off coupon. It was a great way to spend the day. Also, they don't make it clear on the website, but you can bring your own bottled water.

Hey everybody. I'm looking for a hotel for my January cruise out of Tampa. Those of you with "Stay & Sail" packages that included parking, what did you think of your rooms and shuttles? I need a nonsmoking room, but other than that, as long as it's clean, quiet and safe, it's all good.
