  • Re: WiFi capabilities on board ship in cabins??

When you connect it automatically takes you to their login page which requires login information to proceed. That information is given to you when you purchase the minutes. I was on the Holiday in July and the charge was $29.95 for 60 minutes.

  • Re: Hampton Inn Downtown

They do not provide a shuttle to the terminal. You can hire a taxi if you want. We stayed there for our last cruise and loved it. We walked to and from the terminal, it was a 7 minute walk. For departure we actually drove to terminal and dropped off our luggage then parked at hotel and walked back to terminal. It was no problem at all. The hotel ...

  • Re: Just got home from Holiday, Ask Away!

Just returned today myself, I have read all the comments about the brown water before my trip and has concerns as well. Don't you know as soon as we got into the cabin my wife went to wash her hands and out came the brown water! We let it run for a few seconds (guessing 15- 20 seconds) and it cleared up and never returned. I would not worry ...

  • Re: Traffic in Mobile

We just got home from our cruise 3 hours ago. We drove in on Sunday evening and left Mobile this morning around 8 am. Traffic on both days was extremely light almost non existent downtown. We are driving down Sunday and have booked the Hampton Inn for the night before and the Carnival package which allows parking at the hotel for cruise duration. • Re: Comfort suites on Springdale pre-cruise???

I have a room booked at the Hampton Inn for ~$159/night as well, including parking for the trip. My understanding is the hotel is across the street from the terminal. Any one have any input to offer, on this hotel or a better location/offer, feel free to pass it along. Thanks mark

  • Internet speed on Holiday

I am considering taking my laptop just to stay in touch with family at home via email. It appears Carnival offers packages in 30 and 60 minutes. Since I plan to only check email once a day I  am thinking the 60 minute package should be more than enough, but was curious as to what the connection speed is like. Any information suggestions ...

  • Re: hotels in mobile

How was the Holiday Inn? I have reviewed the posts on hotels in the mobile port area and everything seems to be old. I am interested in any recent experiences/recommendations. We will be cruising 7-27-09, and am planning on staying in Mobile the night before. I particulary like the idea of parking being included with the hotel rate, however on the ...
