• Re: Daughters first cruise...she entered a contest and if you could vote for her it would be awesome

I don't think what you did was wrong at all... I normally wouldn't have voted at all, but after reading all the rude and negative comments from a few ignorant people, I just had to sign up and vote for Hailee... She is now up to 527 votes.... I couldn't find her picture at first... Right now it is on page 25 of the pictures.... If you ...

  • Re: Passport or not?

Our travel agent informed us that in the near future everyone will need a passport on any cruise...The original passport book that is...She also said there is a possibility that the US will begin phasing out the passport card... The regualar passport book only costs $100, and is good for 10 years... So my finance and I are just going to get ...
I might suggest that some people read through the posts before jumping to conclusions and posting things that make them look silly, foolish, idiotic, or just plain stupid..... If you think this means you, it probably does. so don't bother getting into a flame war with me. It will only get you banned from ...

  • Re: Tipping

I never, ever said that I was not going to tip. All I was saying that I disagreed with prepaying the tips, which no-one can justify... Nowhere else are tips paid before you receive the service... I plan on tipping each and everyone that serves us, I wasn't saying that they didn't deserve tips... I understand how hard they work, and ...

  • Re: Good News Tipping Not Required
When you have your tips removed at the pursers desk, you might want to let them know why you are doing this.  Therefore, they won't think that you were unhappy about any service you recieved.  Just a thought........
Absolutely... That was our plan, and what our ...

  • Re: Tipping

Ok... Back to defend myself... I understand that this is my first cruise, and I have not experienced the service yet, but let me ask you all this... When you go out to eat at a restaurant... Do you tip the cooks, the cashiers, the hostess, all on top of your waitress... I know I sure don't... You only tip the one who providers the ...
Tell me why you removed your tips.
I did not prepay my tips, and I am going to have them removed when I board. I feel that I should be able to tip as I please, so throughout the cruise I plan to tip staff I come in contact with that I feel went above and beyond. I don't feel that I am doing anything ...

  • Re: Tipping

Thanks for all the suggestions... I think I am just going to keep it the way we have it booked, and not pre-pay them... Our travel agent said to go to the desk when we get on and just have the gratuities removed from our account, and let them know we will be tipping on our own... I understand where many of you are coming from saying that their are ...

  • Tipping

Our travel agent suggested that instead of pre-paying tips when we book, to just tip on our own with cash on the ship. This is our first cruise, and first time working with a travel agent. Is this advisable, or looked down on? Thanks for any suggestions, as I am guessing we could still change our minds and pre-pay them even though we ...
