  • Re: Walkie talkies on board

We used them and they worked perfectly.  It is nice to have a set that has privacy settings.  With the kids, it was a near necessity in order for us to have a good time.

Just to put this series of posts to rest, we just got off the boat this morning (Legend) and we did stop in Roatan.  It was gorgeous and we felt safe at all times.  I am so glad that we were able to stop because it was a treat.

  • Re: Roatan or no Roatan? Did the your Legend cruise stop there?

Just got off the boat this morning (5/24/09) and we did stop at Roatan and thank goodness we did!  It was amazing.  The island is about as beautiful as any I have seen.  We went to Gumbalimba park and played with the monkeys and birds.  There was also a few shops at the pier.

  • Re: whats going on in Roatan?

I posted the same question in the "Roatan" section of the "Caribbean" and got some good replies.  Things seem to be calming down.  You can google us embassy honduras and look under the Public Announcements and you will see a Roatan listing on May 6th.  Neither the Valor or the Legend docked there last week but it ...

  • Re: Civil unrest?

I totally agree with "better safe than sorry".  It is nice to have some open communication about what is going on from Carnival.  I was really glad to hear that Ladywolfmyst was able to get through and find out that things are hopefully going to go as planned from here on out.  And trust me, I will have a great time ...

  • Civil unrest?

Can anyone shed any light on the civil unrest in Roatan?  Apparently neither the Valor nor the Legend stopped there this week (Wednesday and Friday, respectively) but I can't find any information about it.  I have tried Carnival but can't get through.  I'm sure they are quite busy with the flu situation.  Just ...

  • Re: Stuck at Sea

According to Cruisecal the Legend did skip Roatan yesterday due to civil unrest.  Also, the Valor skipped Roatan on Wednesday, May 6th for the same reason.  However, both stops were made last week and there is no indication that next weeks stops will be altered.  Crossing our fingers because we sail on May 17th.

  • Re: Funpass Question

Go to your Funpass page (page with Guest names and whether all the categories are completed or not) and there is a big red button towards the top on the right that says "Print Funpass".  It will print a page with the Funpass "card" in the middle.  And you don't sound stupid.  Take that to check-in and enjoy ...
