  • Re: Tropical Storm Ida

BUMMED OUT!  I got my call and an email from Carnival, plus a call from my travel agent.  So now I have all day tomorrow to sit and stew about it.  What can you do though?  I could go to work and save a day of vacation leave, but figure I'd be in such a foul mood they wouldn't want me around.  LOL.  See you ...

A few minutes ago Carnival had an update posted that the Triumph (NOLA) and Fantasy (Mobile) were departing a day late and that we (Fantasy) would skip Progreso and be refunded for the one day.  Now that notice appears to be gone.  I wonder if they are re-thinking things now that it has been downgraded to a TS with more weakening ...

  • Re: Fantasy Delay?

Thanks for bringing that up oldtom...I was wondering the same thing.  I live in the greater Mobile area (eastern shore)...only 8 miles from the port.  What is adequate compensation for missing a port?  We have an excursion scheduled for Progreso through Auto-Progreso, but fortunately they didn't require a pre-pay.  ...

  • Re: Hurricane IDA...at the moment

I just read that they won't make any announcements until at least 24-48 hours before the sailing.  So, for now, we sit and wait...and wait....and wait.  Oy Vey!

Go to the Orginal Oyster House on the causeway just east of downtown for some really good seafood.

  • Re: Costa Maya

We'll be in Costa Maya on the Fantasy next week and will be looking to find one of those cheap (inexpensive) beach massages.  Any suggestions on where they are located in Costa Maya?
