  • Re: SINGLES

Sorry to break in but I saw you here. We'll be on the same Splendor cruise in January and this time we'll definitely meet. Meanwhile, can you tell me how to get that wonderful countdown in your post? Again, sorry to break in on the singles group. Y'all have fun, now. Suzie

[quote user="Sue"] So ....... I may get in trouble for a post I just responded to in "Carnival Assistance" about Flu like symptoms, her boyfriend came down with a "mild case" of H1N1 today and they are supposed to cruise on Saturday on the Destiny.  Thank Godness they wont be with me on the ...

  • Re: Flu Like Symptoms- Carnival Policy?

This thread is an excellent example of why one should always buy insurance. I would not cruise without it. Please do not cruise if you are ill. Do not take the chance of infecting small children or people with chronic conditions. Just think how awful you would feel if your boyfriend's illness does turn out to be swine and someone aboard loses ...

  • Re: Cabin location

[quote user="mouche"]   I like mid ship only because that's all I've experienced, need to move around some I know And I actually like the lower decks with an OV cabin, Love feeling close to the water when looking out. I mostly book on the main deck, although I'm looking forward to a balcony stateroom soon. ...

  • Re: Refrigerators on Spirit

[quote user="rwilymz"] The carnival FAQ claims that Spirit has a mini bar.  These are tiny mini-fridges filled with over-priced self-serve stuff typical of hotels; you'll have to have the steward empty it for you.  You may be able to fit a 6-pack in there, and I doubt it'd hold a wine bottle, but that's what the ...

  • Re: Refrigerators on Spirit

There is a small cube fridge that contains the mini-bar. If you want your wine cold, why not ask the steward for an extra filled ice bucket? I always keep bottled water in the ice bucket as it's too big for the fridge. There should be no problem doing that with your  wine. Suzie

  • Re: ROLL CALL JANUARY 31, 2010....LETS CRUISE!

Whoo hoo!  Just booked this cruise. DH and I will be driving in from Vegas at least one day before but will probably stay at the Doubletree Resort near the Ontario airport and drive the hour or so into Long Beach the morning of the 31st. If we drive all the way in, will stay at the Courtyard in Long Beach and have dinner next door at the 555 ...

Unfortunately, since booking this cruise I have found out this ship's tender is not accessible for my husband. Therefore, we canceled this trip in favor of the Splendor. Sorry we won't get to meet y'all but I know you will have a great time and maybe we'll meet up on another ship later on. Bon voyage! Suzie

  • Re: acapulco cliff divers

We were there a week ago. As soon as you get off the ship, there will be a gauntlet of guides wearing turquoise golf shirts with their tour guide licenses on lanyards around their necks. I found a guide who gave us a walking tour - my husband uses an electric wheelchair - for about 4 and 1/2 hours for 60 dollars. We felt safe and all the other ...

[quote user="Michelle70"] No, were leaving from Port of New York.  Port Canaveral is our fist port.  We REALLY want to do the space center, but the Carnival Excersions were pretty high for the ones they actualy show he price for.  Others say you can only purchase them onboard, hopefully those are the cheeper ones!  ...
