  • Re: Help with Dolphin Encounters

It will depend on how old your daughter is as each place has their own age limits.  By August, the Legend should be going back to Cozumel and I would try to book with Dolphin Discovery in either Cozumel or Grand Cayman (I say Cozumel because I would rather swim with the Sting Rays in GC, but that's just me....)  In either place, ...

  • Re: Roll call January 31st!!!

McGyver,   The suite is definitely a splurge and something that I am not likely to repeat again soon.  It is a little bit easier on the pocketbook for me right now as I've been over here earning tax free pay which is kind like pennies from heaven.  Plus the military discount that Carnival gives is phenomenal to say the ...

  • Re: Opting out of formal dining nights

[quote user="lass1959"]  What is "suggested" is just that a suggestion!  Wear what you like...they will NOT turn you away at the door..I have seen jeans worn on formal night...and they were premitted to eat on formal night...I know of NO ONE that has been turned away!  The food is great all the nights...but it ...

  • Re: What is the best/cheapest way to book a cruise?

Just a guess, but I think what your friend might be referring to is the special that Carnival runs (typically twice a year - sometimes more often) during which a person who qualifies for the military rates can get up to three rooms for the military rate even if only one of the rooms has a person who qualifies for that rate in it.  ...

  • Re: Dh needs plug by bed?

Not sure, but I would definitely bring a 6 ft. extension cord just in case.   Take care,   Julia

  • Re: Roll call January 31st!!!

McGyver,  I'm envious of your aft balcony.  I'm booked in an aft balcony on the Legend for May 31st but they don't accomodate three people so I couldn't book one for this cruise.  So -- instead I decided to really splurge and go for a Cat 11.  We are booked in 7329.  I think that ...

  • Re: S & S cards assigned to different credit cards in one cabin?

Like the others have said -- no problem at all.  When you fill out your documents on line, just enter in each person's credit card number for their own account.   I am paying for the cruise for my parents and I (for their Christmas gift) but I figure $3,000 for the three of us (including gratuities) is plenty.  I also paid for ...

  • Re: The Traveling Bear

You are welcome to tag along on either of my next two cruises.  I'll be on the Liberty during the first week of February with stops in Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Ocho Rios.  The first week of June, I'll be on the Legend with stops in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Isla Roatan.    I'll try sending an email your ...

  • Re: Roll call January 31st!!!

My parents and I will be sailing with you.  It is my Christmas gift to them and we are all excited to get on that ship and relax.  (I know that my count-down clock still says Destiny.  That was our original cruise but I decided that five days wasn't enough and changed to the Liberty!)    We are paid in ...

  • Re: Are there things to do in Grand Cayman?

[quote user="zebrafreak420"] We just visited Grand Cayman.  We took a tour with one of the locals named Melita.  She took us to Hell, the governer's mansion, the turtle farm, Tortuga Rum Cakes, and 7 mile beach for only $20 a person.  The entire tour took 2 hours and we had the option of staying at 7 mile beach, the ...
