  • Considering a Destiny cruise in 2010--recommendations?

My kids and I cruised on the Inspiration in October 2008.  We had a wonderful time, except that DH could not join us.  We are considering taking a 5 day Destiny cruise in June of 2010.  Has anyone done either the Eastern Caribben or the Western Caribbean itenerary?  Both look like fun and we cannot decide which sounds ...

  • Re: The Senior Officers of the Inspiration

I have to completely agree with you!  We sailed Inspiration October 30 and had a wonderful time.  I was especially impressed when Risa made the extra effort to see that my 13 year old met Captain Basso.  The Captain even took a few moments to talk with Ben, which was really neat.  We adored George the Greek and the ...

My 13 year old loved Circle C.  They have tons of activities and the kids really liked it.  There will be a registration your first afternoon...all you do is sign the kids up.  They can come and go to any activities the rest of the cruise.  You should get a schedule of everything for the cruise ...

  • Re: Cabin size on Main deck question

Yes, we did stay in M226.  The room was a nice size, but my only concern was that they brought in a rollaway which stayed in the entire cruise.  There is 1 upper bunk.  The rollaway ends up blocking the way to the larger bed so you end up climbing over it if you want to get near the window.  It isn't bad, just inconvenient ...

  • Re: Just back from Inspiration...great cruise!

There are a lot of things to do on the ship.  If you go in for high activity, get a seat up near the pool so you can hear all of the action.  Do not miss the Hairy Chest contest.  it is hysterical to see grown men dancing around like strippers!  I really enjoyed the galley tour.  You get to see where all of the ...

  • Just back from Inspiration...great cruise!

I crusied on Inspiration October 30-November 3.  The whole experience was great.  My kids loved Club O2 and Circle C.  There was lots to do on board too.  Food was very tasty...do try the Chocolate Melting Cake and the Grand Marnier Souffle!   We were in the Carnivale Dining Room with George the ...

  • Tipping question

I am leaving on the Inspiration on Thursday (Woo-hoo)  I have a question about tipping.  I fully intend to tip the customary amount for myself, but what should I do when considering an amoutn for my two teens?  Obviously they won't be using the bar and we plan to only eat in the dining room 2 out of the 4 nights.  Any ...

I know what you mean...22 days until sailing.  I will already be in Tampa by this time on the 29th.  I am traveling with my 2 boys, ages 16 and 13, and my 84 year old mother.  My mom is a hoot...she will have fun for sure.  The kids are looking forward to checking out the teen programs.  Still haven't decided ...
