  • Re: Rollaway beds

Rest easy.  Our family cruised last month and my 19 year old daughter ended up with the rollaway.  She slept wonderfully.  It has a very thick mattress and the bedding was the same as ours. (very soft and cozy)  I don't think you have to worry at all.  By the way, my daughter is pretty paticular and if she couldn't ...

  • Re: questions for past cruisers-gratuities

You are not required to deposit a minimum amount on your sail & sign card, they only suggest how much you deposit.  We were a family of 4, we prepaid our gratuities, and we only put $150 deposit on our sail and sign. That was for 4 of us. (it all came out of same account).  We received a check the morning of disembarkation for ...

  • Re: New to Holiday

Christi, we just got off the Holliday Sept 27.  Our experience was that if the pool is open there will be kids in it.  There is the main pool on the lido deck, it was the one with the water slide, that one seemed to be a little more crowded, and they have another one at the end of the boat on the lido deck, without a slide.  When we ...

  • Re: Beach Towels provided?

They do provide nice beach towels for each person in cabin.  Make sure you know where your towel is.  Do not leave it on a chair ( to hold you place) or let it out of your sight.  They charge you $22.00 per towel that is not accounted for on the last night of the cruise.  It is really nice not having to pack those extra towels, ...

  • Re: Do you feel

We just went on our 1st cruise on the Holiday and we did both our excursions on our own.  Cozumel - Chankanaab, and Playa Del Carmen - Hidden Worlds.  We didn't have any issues at all.  I did however do my homework first.  If you google the ports that you want to go to alot of excursions will come up.  Research the ...

  • Re: Kitchen Tours???

I don't know about the Sensation, but we just took one the last day on the Holiday two weeks ago.  They talked for about 15 minutes in the dining room, then a brief tour of the galley.  Glad I went but husband wasn't thrilled.

  • Re: how to pack?

We were just on the Holiday 2 weeks ago.  It was cool the first evening (still close to Mobile).  But the next day at sea it was probably around 87.  Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen were about 90, and the last day at sea was also around 87.  It was very cold inside the Americana lounge both during the day and at night during the ...

  • Atlantis

We thought about catching a cab, after dinner, over to the Atlantis.  What can you see if you just walk around.  Do you have access to the casino?  I also heard that if you go in the evening you don't get charged for the aquarium.  Has anyone had that experience?  Any info. would be helpful. Thanks
