  • Re: Cozumel beaches

The river is free as it is included in your admission.  About the only things extra you would have to pay for are "excursion type activities (swimming w/dolphins, sea trek, etc.)", pictures, souvenirs, and food.  There are a few different places to eat which resemble the places you would find in one of our parks.  They ...

  • Re: Cozumel beaches

We went in April 07.  We booked it through Carnival then but I'm not sure if they still offer it through them.  XCaret is only about 5 miles from the cruise port and I bet XCaret will have a shuttle bus waiting for cruise passengers.  They also transport you back to the cruise terminal and leave about every 30 minutes or ...

  • Re: Cozumel beaches

Xcaret does not have rides or anything like our amusement parks.  It was unlike anyplace we had been to.  Upon the entrance it reminds you of entering one of our large amusement parks (Six Flags, King's Island, etc.) with professional staff throughout the park.  The park is very large and much more to see and do than you can fit ...

  • Re: Just back from Cozumel on the Holiday

Very well said Joan.  We just got back from sailing on Fascination and had a great time.  Our first cruise was on the Holiday and we didn't have anything else to compare her to at the time.  To be honest, I personally like her best because of her size.  Although she is smaller, she's not smaller by much and considering ...

  • Re: Passport Requirements

We just sailed and returned this morning in Jacksonville.  Our embarkation went very smoothly.  We arrived at the Jacksonville port at 11am, dropped our luggage with the porter, and parked.  The lines went very smoothly and we had no waiting at all.  We did have to fill out a form I'm guessing the CDC is requiring due to ...

  • Re: Blue Lagoon Question

Thanks everyone for your replies!  We had a great time at Blue Lagoon and would certainly do it again.  It was a beautiful place!  When we arrived at port, we didn't know where to go and when we asked for directions we were told to take a water taxi to Paradise Ferry Terminal which we did. Once at the Paradise Ferry Terminal we ...

  • Blue Lagoon Question

Is anyone familiar getting around in Nassau?  We made reservations at Blue Lagoon.  It says our ferry will depart from Paradise Island Ferry Terminal.  Is this anywhere close to where our ship will dock or will we have to take a taxi to the Ferry Terminal?  Has anyone visited Blue Lagoon and if so, how was your ...

Yes, we went last August!  I highly recommend Nachi!  We loved this beach, the food, and the service were amazing.  You can just relax if you want or as soon as you arrive you can book any water activities and the time you want to do them during the day.  Your waiter serves you unlimited drinks under your papaya (don't know ...

  • Re: Cozumel, Calico..... excursions or free time

Congratulations on your first cruise!  I hope you become as addicted as the rest of us.  The Holiday was the first ship we sailed on too!  We loved it and although she is the smallest in the fleet, she and her crew sure make up for it in hospitality!  Cozumel and Calica are two wonderful ports.  The peir in Cozumel ...
