  • Re: Once on board

I always take my own pillow from home but you can always ask your steward for another pillow. You can also ask for an additional mattress if you find yours is too hard for your liking. Your steward will bend over backwards to see that you are happy. Make sure you tip him/her well when they go out of their way to accommodate you.

I agree the Bahamas were a disapointment.  If I ever have that port again on another cruise I will stay on the ship.

From what I have read most of the drug cartel problems are on the border towns.  I think if we stay in the beach areas and not go wandering off we will be fine.  As far as the flu goes, you have just a great a chance of catching the flu at home than on a cruise to Mexico.  We have all had it at our house and are over it thank ...

  • Re: Infant Rates

maybe Carnival charges the 3rd person going rate for an infant to discourage passengers from bringing them.  (just a thought, I know I'm going to get blasted for this) Could you imagine how many babies would be on a cruise if they cruised for free?

nope, no midnight buffet anymore.  They did away with them a while ago.  They found out that most people were just looking at it and didn't eat anything and it was a huge waste of food and resources.  I imagine it was one thing they cut to save some money.

  • Re: 4 To a Room? How Was It?

My hubby and I took our two teenage daughters on a cruise a few years ago and we were in an interior room.  It was just fine for us.  One thing that really helped on cutting down on the bathroom time for the girls was getting their hair braided in Mexico.  It lasted till we got home and was a real time saver for all of us.  My ...
