• Re: Chris Jefferson
Just wondering if anyone knows on What ship Chris Jefferson on now. I had him on the Valor last year and it was wonderful. He is so funny and love to sail with him again. Thanks
He is back on the Valor from what I heard. I believe the 9/14 cruise was his first one back.   Bonnie

Hey KS:  I think we are going to try Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. It's supposed to be beautiful. I have been reading alot of reviews on cruisecritic.com (pick Carnival Valor). It's a great place to see where others have gone on excursions. When we dock in Roatan, I have my heart set on checking out Gumbalimba Park. It looks ...

  • Re: Post your experience after cruising

I appreciate everyone taking the time to respond to my original post. As we get closer to the October 12th sailing I am getting more and more excited. I do try not to let negative comments get to me. Luckily I have had some experience with Carnival sailing the Miracle about 3 years ago...and it was a fantastic time. There was a group of 14 of us. ...

  • Anyone sail without passports??

Just wondering if anyone has gone on the Valor recently using a birth certificate and picture ID, and if so, did you have any problems.  I know the requirements have been pushed back to 2009 and a woman at Carnival told me today I didn't need it yet, but still want to hear from others on their experience.  The $200 my husband and I ...

I keep checking too, but it appears there aren't many of us going...or not too many that read these postings. Hopefully as we get closer, more people will post!

I agree that the poster sounded like a snob. I went on the Carnival Miracle a couple of years ago and it was immaculate! 8 out of every 10 cruise critic reviews are fantastic...but every now and then you see one that makes you wonder what kind of standards this person is used to...or if they only think they were on the Valor Regardless...I am ...

  • Post your experience after cruising

Hi All:  I am curious to see how your experience was after going on the Valor. I read cruise critic reviews alot and lately it's been a mixed bag...so I am hoping for some "great" feedback! I know you can't please everyone, but some guy just totally trashed his experience referring to it as the "Walmart of ...

  • Re: Roatan Island, Honduras Shore Excursions

Hi Laura: We are going on the Valor Oct 12-19, and like you I wasn't sure about Roatan Island. However, I have read tons of cruise reviews (check out cruisecritic.com, choose the Valor and you will see tons of great reviews to this Western Itinerary). One woman wrote about Gumbalimba Park. She said her pictures looked like something out of a ...

  • How much spending money do you suggest???

Hi Valor past cruisers: I am looking for a "ballpark" idea of what to bring for spending money for the cruise alone? I am not a drinker, but my husband will have beer. We will visit the casino once or twice, but won't waste alot there. As far as excursions, I think we will do more site seeing and visiting beaches instead of ...
