  • Re: CAMP CARNIVAL IS MISLEADING

Goldieda1 I totally agree with you.  We have been on many cruises with our children who are now 13 and 14 years old.  It is very rare that you find anyone older than 8 or 9 that enjoy camp carnival.  My children usually set up a meeting time with the new friends they have met and then spend time just hanging out or getting ice ...

  • Re: 2 bottle limitation

Thank you to all of the people who are responding now that rules are meant for everyone.  I have two children and have vowed to teach them that even though we CAN do things, it may still not be right and should not be done.  There are too many people around now that are entitled.  I don't know if it is because they have never ...

  • Re: Taking a 1 year old...

Something else to consider about a 20 month old is that children have to be 2 before they are even allowed in Camp Carnival so she will be with you the whole time.  If you are looking for at least a little time to yourself, a cruise is not the way to go yet.

  • Re: Buckets of Beer

We just got back from the Pride on Sunday and got 4 Miller Lite bottles in each bucket for about 24 dollars which includes the 15% gratuity.  They can go anywhere with you.  Have fun.

  • Re: New Dress Code Rules

It amazes me that there are some people on here who are complaining about what some people wear to a certain dinner, yet on another post these same people are stating that no one should ever have anything to complain about because you should consider yourself lucky to go on a vacation and a vacation is what you make it.  To me, what a ...

  • Re: If you could Change anything on the ship what would it be?

With an alcohol drink card, with the amount that some people drink on cruises, they would have to charge $1000.00 to make it worth their while.  And secondly, Carnival employees cannot even keep children out of the adult-only areas.  Do you honestly think that they would be able to tell a drunk adult that they have had enough and they ...

Babygirl-- I totally agree with you.  The prices that they charge for pictures are outrageous.  It cannot cost them much to print them because if they are not bought they are just thrown away.  How wasteful is that?

  • Re: disappointed with Camp Carnival!!

I actually feel badly for the children who are older than 8 years old who love camp carnival and can't wait to go back.  To me, that means that the small, miniscule amount of attention they get at camp has to be a step up from the amount of attention they are used to getting on a daily basis in their everyday life.  Once you have ...

  • Re: disappointed with Camp Carnival!!

The most recent one we were on was the Glory in May, 2007 and they were 11 and 13 at the time, but they have been on 2 other Carnival cruises.  They have always been disappointed with the program.  At one point, they had an UNO tournament scheduled and only 3 kids showed up.  Granted, the staff cannot control how many kids come to ...

  • Re: disappointed with Camp Carnival!!

I'm glad that a lot of you have had good experiences with camp carnival, but my children have also never liked it.  We have been on quite a few cruises, so they have been at different ages each time and have been bored every time.  The counselors have so little experience with kids it is hugely evident.  If the kids don't ...
