  • Re: Recommendations for Ensenada?

We did the taste of mexico tour. We were on a budget and it was cheap. It's not too much of a cooking tour, but they do give you chips, salsa, guacamole, tamales, and tostadas. It was a slow, fun afternoon and it gave us time to walk around the stores too. I also really enjoyed the margarita I had at the dirty little bar right at the port. ...

  • Re: Cabo San Lucas Excursion

I was disappointed I didn't get to see more of Cabo. Really really great food there, I reccommend getting some if you get a chance. I vaguely remember something be weird about the time. I think the ship time and the local time where two different things and we got off early and spent a long time trying to figure out why our tour wasn't ...

  • Re: older teenager (19) w/ parent 6/22/08 on valor

Hello! Don't worry, there's absolutely plenty to do! I went on a carnival cruise as a graduation trip as well. If you're going to a port where the drinking age is 18, you can, of course, drink. Margaritavilles are always fun. Definately try snorkeling in Grand Caymen- Beautiful! You'll have a great time, no worries. I actually ...

  • Re: Onboard shopping

The prices are okay. Definately compare in-port and on-ship to make the best choices. They have a lot of gold, and white gold as well. They also have perfume, but that still seemed a bit pricey, again check your ports. We went to Jamaica and they had a lot of inexpensive jewelry stores with a lot of nice stuff.

  • Re: spa prices???

We had the couple's massage once. It was really nice but rather expensive. The best thing to do is go on the first day. They usually have "tester" sessions where you can try out something. We were going to get a hot stone massage but after we tried it out, we didn't think it was worth the money (didn't feel as nice as the ...

  • Re: Onboard shopping

We bought some jewelry. It's hard to find tanzanite and blue diamonds in the states, so we usually browse while we're on the ship. The better deals though are in ports, as long as you go to a place that won't rip you off.

  • Re: shore boat wait in cabo?

I don't remember it being a problem. Of course, with every port, it takes a long time to get off if you try and leave the boat right when it docks. There's always a huge line. But if you have a later shore excursion and get off the boat later, there's not a lot of people. They usually run a couple at a time right when they dock and ...

  • Re: HOW BUSY IS LEGOLAND AFTER THE CRUISE?

It's never that crowded. It doesn't offer too much other than rides for young children. We took some friends and their kids and they were a bit disappointed.

  • Re: Hotel close to San Diego port

There's a really nice bed and breakfast in Old town. Quite romantic. Prices start at 125 a night though. The Breakfasts are wonderful and it's a great place to go if you're having a couples' vacation, or if your kids are into the victorian vibe.   http://www.heritageparkinn.com/
