  • Re: purse?

We actually left June 19th and are back.  I took a small fanny pack for everyday around the ship so I could carry my camera and a few other essentials, a small purse for the formal dinner and then a backpack for shore excursions.  All worked well and didn't take up too much room in my suitcase (I also used the backpack as a ...

  • Re: EMBARKATION

We just sailed out of San Diego earlier this month.  We checked in around 11 am and were on board by 11:30.  They had lunch on the lido deck.  We were able to get into our rooms around 1 and the ship sailed about 4 pm. We arrived back in San Diego and were off the ship before 11 on the last day.  Depending on your flight ...

  • Re: And BINGO was his name-O!

We were just on the Elation and played Bingo one night.  The cards were 1 for $10 or 3 for $20 and they were good for 2 games.  The first game was 4 corners and the second game was standard bingo.

  • Re: I don't know.... should I?

We just got back from our first cruise.  I tend to get seasick on boats (deep sea fishing etc) but not in the car.  since dramamine usually wipes me out, I was hesitant to take it but I brought some just in case.  When I started feeling a bit queasy I finally broke down and took some.  It was a newer "less drowsy" ...

  • what time?

Another first timer question.  The website says our cruise begins at 4 pm.  We are on the Elation out of San Diego CA on June 19th.   I have seen several posts about getting there early and having lunch on board. How early should we get there?  We have several hours drive to SD to get to the ship and we'd like to get ...

  • purse?

We are new cruisers leaving on the 19th and I'm trying to figure out what NOT to pack.  Do most women carry purses to dinner?  The skirt and dress I am taking for evening don't have pockets and I am wondering what to do if I want to bring my camera etc with me in the evenings.  How does everyone else do this?  ...

  • Snuba in cabo

We are first time cruisers, taking our two kids (20 and 22) with us on the Elation to Cabo in June.  We are trying to choose a shore excursion and considering snubaing.  My husband has some disabilities but is a pretty good swimmer.  Has anyone tried this?  Is it difficult to get in and out of the boat, lots of hard swimming ...

  • Re: phones and texting on board

I did contact Carnival and have signed up for a variety accomidations for our room (my husband has several disabilities).  I also contacted Verizon and was given rates for texting.  Not too expensive since we'll be in Mexico.  I have it in writing via email so there should be no surprises from our phone provider. thanks to all ...
