We are staying at the Tampa Marriott Waterside. It is very close to the port, and was recommened to us by family in the area. If you want to walk around the port area, perfect place, and when you have your bags I've been told at most a 5 dollar cab ride, if that.

Often the local time will vary from the port you originated in. It is important to stay on ship time, as the times posted relate to that. The ship usually stays on the time zone of the port it sailed from originally. Always read the Carnival Capers, as it will have the correct times.

As for the water aboard the ship, the water is fine, Its completely filtered, safe and comparable to what comes out of your faucet at home. The water given to you at bars, the dining room, and other restaurants is all ships water.
