Hey Southern Girl, What part of South LA are you guys from?

I am from Lafayette.....  will be on this cruise, it will be my 10th.

I am considering one of these two for my next cruise in October.  I have seen many reviews on this and another board and have also seen the different reccomendations and warnings on what tour companies to use or not use.  What I am wondering is if you have to go through someone to book ahead of time or if it is possible to arrive the day ...

I am not sure the cost for snorkal rental. I did the Dolphin swim and no one in our party snorkeled. We ate at one of the restaraunts there and found it very reasonable. No it does not at this point in time.  It is getting one during it's refurb in January 2010.

I understand, we had the same thoughts on wanting to see all the sights at our liesure.  It may be worth it for you.  We just felt like their wasn't much out of walking distance that was all that great and we ended up spending most of our time parked at the area near the ship.  The southernmost point was not very impressive IMHO ...

Well good luck....  I think at this point we have all but crossed the BCH off our list and are decided between the Wyndham or Breezes day pass.  But you never know....  the fact that it is so close to the dock is the advantage it is having for me right now and it could always become the fail safe.
