  • Re: How much privacy do you have on the aft balcony?

Dotti105:  First, got your email and replied back - check YOUR email. As to the aft balconies, we had an aft balcony on the Valor earlier this year and loved it. Yes, the people on either side of you could lean (with a little effort) and get a good view of your balcony, but we found even after getting friendly with both neighbors it ...

  • Re: Thinking of booking on the Liberty in '10, looking for input, please

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input, and hopefully all of you who are sailing on the Liberty before us will post some reviews of your cruises so I can further pick your brains! We've been to the Western Caribbean the past three cruises so we're ready for something new, hence the Eastern Caribbean this up coming cruise. Happy ...

  • Re: Any worth while excursions in Belize

I have to second the"vote" for the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins/River Wallace excursion. We had a great guide (Jewel) and we really enjoyed the Mayan ruins. They were really interesting and as they were our first ruins, to us quite impressive. The little restaurant we stopped at to get into our river boat (The Black Orchid) had some good ...

  • Thinking of booking on the Liberty in '10, looking for input, please

Hi all;  DW and I have sailed on the Fantasy, Inspiration, Legend and Valor and now we're ready to try the Eastern Caribbean. We're looking at booking a cruise on the Liberty in 2010 and would like any experienced Liberty cruisers' opinions of the ship, port of calls, staying in San Juan before/after the cruise... Any ...

  • Re: Valor Aft Cabins #6452 & 6454

Hi Karric;   Just my two cents - we had 7442 on the Valor and were between two decks of nothing but cabins, but I will tell you you'll love the cabins aft. We experienced very little problems with motion (calm seas helped but still, there's more vibrations due to the engines), loved the real lack of wind and the views. I hope you ...

  • Re: Supper Club

Hi DPlunk;   We ate in the Valor's supper club (Scarlet's) on our 3/22/09 cruise and it was fantastic. The setting is elegent, the menu varied and extravagent, the food unbelievably delicious, the service was top notch.... It costs $30.00/person, and we left a good tip since the service was so incredible. I had the 18 oz grilled ...

  • Re: just off the Valor

We docked at Puerta Maya, our personnel favorite spot. LOTS of shopping, very picturesque and quiet, I recommend sitting on the little beach at Pancho's, having a nice frozen drink (beach bar service!!) and taking in the great views of the ships docked there! You can catch taxis from there very easily too. It's not ...

  • Re: 20th Wedding Anniversary Cruise

Hi Steve-O:  We sailed the Inspiration in '07 and loved the ship, you'll have a great time on her. We've now been to Cozumel and Grand Cayman three times each, here's some of the things we or our sailing companions have done: Cozumel - Atlantis Submarine (us), Sea Trek Helmet Dive (us), Race Fantastique (friends). We ...
