John, with all the bad news about what is going on down in Mexico, would you have any fear about playing now?  I played last August in Mazatlan and was reassured by the ship activities personnel that because we were in a large group, probably nothing would happen.

Thanks for the info.  I thought there was only 1 course - Baja Mar - that was a shore excursion from the ship.  Could you rent clubs there?  And how was the course itself?  Muni or more upscale?  Price?  How/when did you make your tee time?  Thanks for any more info you may have.  We are going in April and ...

So, basically bring your own balls and shoes.  It's a shame they stop for lunch and make everyone stop as a group.  In Mazatlan, you can power through the course in 3.5 hours and then eat or drink afterwards.  Was the course muni-level or higher?  From the website, it looks great - of course they all do.  Was it kept ...

John, I've seen you mention golf in Ensenada several times.  How was it?  I assume you played Bajamar?  Did you bring your own clubs or did they have rentals?  thanks for any info you have.

Hi John - in making arrangements, both the travel agent and the Carnival web site indicated that there were just a few suites left and the staterooms were going fast.  I think it is because that week, kids are out on Spring Break the week before Easter.

Hello, we just signed up.  It's our daughter's Spring Break from 1st grade, so it will be a little get away for us.  We took the weekend cruise last year and are now trying the mid week.

  • Re: Camp Carnival Question

Craig -  I can't speak for the Victory, but we just finished a cruise on the Paradise.  And they did keep the kids separated into different locations.  And based on how strict the camp counselors were, I don't think they would allow the kids to hang out together.  It seems like the 6 and 8 year olds could be together ...

  • Cruise to Ensenada

We just got back from a cruise to Ensenada onboard the Paradise and our reactions were both good and bad.  The VIP boarding treatment you get by purchasing a mini-suite or suite was absolutely fantastic.  You get to board quickly and easily bypassing all the lines.  Our steward was great.  The cabin was a bit cramped for 3 ...
