• Re: Screwed by Carnival Again and Again and Again..............
I've booked a 40th birthday cruise for me and my daughter, all paid- airline and everything.  If something happened and we couldn't go- we are out a thousand dollars!
You really sound like you should have travel insurance.  Our policy had a "Cancel for any ...

  • Re: OMG! I can't believe they said yes; now I need major help.

Taxi's are not that ecpensive and much faster than a shuttle.  A shuttle will not leave until it is full.  We always tipped the driver so anywhere from $20 to $25 is not bad and it is soooo easy to find one.  A hotel....the time of year you are staying may make them more expensive but check hotels.com.  It's a great ...

  • Re: Emergency!!! Should I lock the luggage??

Security at the airlines do random checks of luggage.  We had TSA Locks on ours and our luggage had been opened and gone thru.  They also left us a note.....guess we were the lucky random ones that got checked along with the Body Search when my Husband was taken out of the line too.   Oh Well....nothing you can do...if they ...

  • Re: DVD players on the Dream

I read a review from someone in the media that was on the Dream that left from New York for the 3 Day Cruise to Nowhere.  He did make a point to mention that on the flat screen TV's in the staterooms all plug ins on the front for various equipment one would bring like an ipod, etc. were all blocked and could not be used period.  ...

  • Re: Embarassed

I agree that you should not have been yelled at.  Obviously Carnival made a huge mistake from the start by not recognizing the Platinum Status to begin with.  So, they probably did not change any of heir other computer info.  That is probalby where the problem arised during Debaraktion.  I would contact Carnival via email from ...
That is where my other question comes in. What are the suites like? Are they worth the extra money? Larger bathroom? Balcony? I know they have the extended balconies and whirlpool tubs in some of the suites too. Just looking for any advice!
I think they are but we got a great Military ...

  • Re: weather concerns for 1st timers...

Mother Nature is so unpredictable and they try their best also to predict ahead.  I kept track of the weather at the Ports of Call we stopped at on both cruises and started about 8 to 10 days prior to leaving.  I always checked weather.com on a daily basis.  I was hoping for sunny weather on both cruises and I got it with the ...

  • Re: Spending on the cruise

That is a hard to answer question.  If this is your 1st cruise, you would be surprised how easy it is to get caught up in all the excitement of the cruise.  The Duty Free Shop has so many good deals it's unbelievable.  There are so many shops on the ship too.  Not too mention shopping in Ports of Call.  Our excursions ...

  • Re: $25,940 daily for tips? Who really shares it?

I think many people are under the impression that the staff is paid very well by Carnival too but they are not!!  Tips are very important to them.       It does not include Room Service either.  I can tell you that the staff does not get paid very much at all for all they do to make your cruise ...
