  • Re: Mobile Port Parking

Tunerbox -  thanks for the information.  I definitely will check into this hotel.  I wasn't concerned about security at the port parking.  I was more concerned that if they were filled and had to park at the Convention Center.  I am not used to having to deal with these types of issues, have always flown to our ports, ...

  • Mobile Port Parking

Hope someone can give me some answers.  We are planning on cruising on the Elation in May of next year and driving to the port (which is a first for us) and I have heard many comments about the parking facility not being big enough for the bigger ships.  Is this correct?  Also heard that they were using the Convention Center for the ...

  • Re: upgrade?

You would need to contact the person that you originally booked your cruise through to see if any upgrades are available and how much the cost would be.  Have fun!

  • Re: Key West advice

We were there this past January and the weather was great!  But we didn't do any water sports, so not sure of the water temps.  We were there again in May and it was EXTREMELY warm!  I believe the first part of the year is the best, but that's just my opinion.

  • Re: smoking on the valor

You may smoke in the cabins, except on the spa deck.  You can also smoke on one half of the lido deck, casino and some bars/lounges, but not all of them and not in any of the restaurants/dining areas.

  • Re: input--what to do/see here

I have never been to Costa Rica, but we were in Belize this past May.  My daughter and I did the Bannister Island excursion and it was absolutely AWESOME.  The water was as smooth as glass!  They have private boats that actually take you to the island and is only for Carnival cruisers. They serve food, drinks, etc.  They ...

  • Re: Should I....?

Don't bother.  They provide them in your cabin.  Once you have used them, they will give you clean ones everyday.  They also have them up on the Lido deck by the pool too.  I definitely wouldn't waste space in my luggage by taking my own.

  • Re: Where should we stay?

marciab72 - Unfortunately, I don't think you will be able to find a hotel like that.  I believe that there may be a couple near the airport that may offer a package that will pick you up at the airport and also take you to the cruise port, but there is NOTHING around there within walking distance.  In May, we stayed at the Holiday ...

  • Hotels on beach in Miami

Hi all!  Just wanted to see if anyone knew of any moderately priced ($150 or so) hotels located on the beach in a decent area of  Miami?  We are planning on cruising in March and wanted to stay 2 extra days at a hotel on the beach and just relax, but really didn't want to spend a fortune!   Any help/info would be ...

  • Any recent cruisers on the Imagination?

Just curious if anyone has been on the Imagination lately?  What were your thoughts about it?  My DD and I are thinking about cruising on it next March, so would like to get some opinions on it.  It is actually a 4 Day to Key West and Cozumel (will be the shortest cruise I have taken).  We have actually been to Key West a ...
