just came back from a cruise with our 2 kids ages 9 and 12 and all we used was birth certificate and no issues at all-  I wanted to spend the $ on them on the trip as opposed to something we didn't need and wouldn't probly use again- (thank God we didn't miss the ship- cuz then you would have major issues and need the passport!)

It worked for any of the drinks I ordered- I did give them the coupon when I ordered- seemed to work the best.  However I don't think we could have used it for our $9.00 chocolate martini

yes, it is worth it!!  my mom has gotten these as gifts for us... and it is nice to have some of that not going on your sign and sail card- cuz it does add up fast-  it might be a little bit of a pain to carry these coupons with you, but I always have a beach bag with- so I just keep them in there- it is a great idea for a gift for ...
