A bad experience with not being seated together and getting a bad wait staff at table 225 in Golden upstairs turned us off Carnival. They wouldn't hear of changing anything so our 17 could be together. 4 were separated at an upstairs unpleasant table.
Downstairs Lim and Benji and Punya, awesome awesome awesome. We loved them. Benji is Thai and my brother in law and sister have been to Thai and speak a little of the language.
Stateroom very clean, although didn't see Ronmel for first two days until the steward for some of our group in the opposite hallway talked to him. They had Calvert who was awesome awesome awesome. We all signed a letter and left it with purser for Captain for Calvert. Room always clean and I lost something and went on my hands and kneees under the bed and it was clean as a whistle under there. They changed a mattress for my sister that was too hard. Great people.
Food was good, some great, although one night three steaks all fatty sent back. Prime rib was to die for and so is the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake. And the diet desserts were awesome too tried some of those also. Buffets were good and varied. Hamburg, hot dogs and fries on LIdo awesome.
Stop in Nassau was only 4 hours which limited shore excursions. Should be addressed. Like a wasted day.
Last two days at sea very rocky, no one ill but it was tiring after two days and some of us are still rocking from the experience. Two days is too long at sea should be one day at a time even without the CONSTANT rocking it would have been tiresome.
Shows were good, Ami Castro was an awesome singer she has a great voice, guy with her ??? okay but not great. She should be on Broadway. Ryan cruise director really good. Went to Karaoke one night and laughed a lot. Then a comedian who's name escapes me but who did a to die for imitation of a crane, had me laughing so hard I was holding my temples.
Overall a good experience for 14 first timers but the dining issue turned us off Carnival for good.
