    Disappointing with a capital "D"

Ship: Carnival Liberty | Sail Date: 09/09/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

This was our second cruise on a Conquest class ship, as well as others and other Cruise Lines, and I must say that the food on this one ranks as The Worst: Entree's were served before or with appetizers, cold food was served warm and hot food served warm or even cold, steaks (the Filet and then the Chateaubriand) so tough that they made you wonder "what have I done" to have booked this? I realize that there are 3k plus people to feed but Carnival has done it in the past so I know they could again. It makes me wonder why they cancelled their galley tour. They did and gave us a reason but now I wonder. Now, in fairness the staff (particularly our room steward) was great. The ship is beautiful and equals her sister The Conquest and the cruise went well. I don't know what happened to the food service but it reeked of pre-packaged, pre-prepared, mediocre cafeteria class food. The food is one of the elements that makes a cruise such a value, just not in this case nor on this ship.
