    Sad [:(] Dining Room and Staff Experience

    Ship: Carnival Splendor | Sail Date: 07/18/08 | Destination: Europe

    We have cruised Carnival 3 times before and have had had a wonderful time. To say that the "Splendor" was a "Fun Ship" is a gross misinterpretation. We had problems the entire cruise with COLD FOOD! We asked the waiter - Andy - all week why the food was cold and his reply was "it's not my fault". Finally on the Friday, the maitre de - Ken - came to our table and asked if everything was okay and we confronted him about the cold food. He told us he "Had heard that from allot of people". We were promised the situation would be fixed by Sunday, and on Sunday the food went back to the kitchen because it was cold. On Monday, all six of the people in our party decided to eat in the Lido for a hot meal. I made a formal complaint to the purseres office and finally on Tuesday our food started to come hot. Our waiter - Andy - however took it poersonally and gave us the cold shoulder all the rest of the cruise making rude comments every once and awhile. In addition - Ken did not have the courtesy to ever come back to our table to ask if everything was okay. The only nice person in the dining room was the assiatnt waiter - Sudayarta - who peronally saw that our plates and food were delivered hot for the LAST THREE NIGHTS OF OUR CRUISE! What a dissapointment, we may never travel Carnival Cruise Lines again. Scott Jack :>(
