    Debarkation delay

Took the 3-27-08 four day cruise. Everything was great as far as friendliness of crew, great cabin steward, great shows, great cabin on the Riviera deck (except that we were way up front R1 & R3 and first night seas were rough).  Embarkation onto the ship in Galveston and Cozumel went great - very fast. However, the debarkation back in Galveston was a nightmare.  First we got in 3-1/2 hrs late due to  weather and engine problem - which is okay since we didn't have to catch a flight out anywhere.  It took 3-1/2 hrs to get to the terminal entrance.  Extremely long wait to get off ship and then extremely long line thru customs.  I cruised four years ago out of Galveston and did not have this problem.  Everyone was stressed.  One lady behind us said she has cruised nine times - mostly with Carnival and never experienced a debarkation delay like this one.  We were all on edge by the time we retrieved our vehicle from the lot.  I'm willing to try again but interested if anyone else experienced debarkation like this before.
