In the past you have sold the 16 ounce plastic bottles (I have purchased many from you). But, beer in plastic gets warm quickly and doesn't taste great (but still less filling). You already stock the Bud and Bud Light aluminum bottles. Any plans to switch to the Miller Lite aluminum bottles? It would be worth Carnival's time and money to provide these on the August 29 sailing of the Elation. My last bar tab was over a grand, and I like the aluminum bottles twice as much as the plastic ones. Cheers,

I ate breakfast in the buffet and in the Dining room and prefered the dining room due to the fact that they offered a better menu and different selections when the buffet offered the same exact things everyday. For lunch there were no wrong choices. The deli, buffet, lido buffet, and dining room were all good and the choices varied daily so I had a lot to choose from and try. Dinner was good, I ate in the dining room every night. Everything I tried was pretty good except for a few strange dishes I tried to be brave but hey everyone is different. Mango Cream soup or Asparagus soup might really appeal to some. The only thing I didnt like was that everything was "fancy". The portions were small and the sides that they served were more like garnishes and were strange to me. Pureed carrots reminded me of baby food and one redskin potato quartered is not sufficient with a steak in my book. The food was really good though. I just ordered 2 meals and ate the stuff I liked and left the other stuff. I was really glad for a plate of macaroni and cheese when I got home. Even the pizza was gourmet. Gourmet is great for awhile but after a few days I really wanted mashed potatoes and other filling and homestyle stuff. You will definitely not go hungry onboard. There is always something available to eat and the service in the dining room was absolutely fantastic!! I loved the entertainment they provided by singing in Italian and doing a conga line around with the guests.

Ship was nice!!!

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 01/26/2008 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

Posted wrong prior - very big disappointment in dining area. VERY disappointed. We asked for and were told that we would have the 5:45 PM dining. Arrived and got our Gold card and we had the 8:00 PM dining. Husband is diabetic - has to eat at scheduled times - 8:00 PM WAY to late. Asked at Purser's desk - told to go to Maitre D - went and were told that there was NO way we could have early dining - it was full. I explained; but, were told that it was not possible. We NEVER used the great dining room - we've always used them before. VERY big disappointment as we enjoy the dining experience. They're great. We ended up eating on the Lido deck for every meal. Why bother making or requesting a certain dining time and end up getting stuck wherever we get stuck? Even with problems?? Very big disappointment on this cruise. Lido restaurant was not what I would call the good dining experience of the dining rooms.

Carnival's Unscrupulous Marketing

Ship: Carnival Triumph | Sail Date: 06/21/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

I registered with carnival.com and we're been receiving various forms of SPAM regularly ever since. We get regular UNSOLICITED PHONE CALLS from companies claiming that we've won travel packages, UNREQUESTED MAGAZINES from Carnival and several UNSOLICITED EMAIL EVERY WEEK from Carnival, Princess and Holland America. I have:
(1) deleted my account registration from carnival.com
(2) emailed the carnival.com webmaster asking that all marketing stop
(3) used the "unsubscribe" feature attached to the spam
(4) used the "contact us" feature on carnival.com to request to be removed from all contact lists.

None of these methods have worked, no one has contacted me regarding any of these requests and the spam continues. The lesson: DO NOT REGISTER FOR ANYTHING ON THE CARNIVAL.COM WEBSITE and seriously reconsider your interest in travelling with a company with such unscrupulous marketing tactics.

Dining Room

Ship: Carnival Legend | Sail Date: 07/15/06 | Destination: Caribbean

From the Maitre d' to the waiters to the busboys - service was impeccable, variety was excellent, and the food was great.

The wine list was a bit skimpy, and sorely lacked the presence of Italian red wines.
