Three Star [3*] Way too rocky and food was awful

Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 11/20/08 | Destination: Mexico

This was my first cruise and I must say that I was very disappointed. The embarkation is a very long and complicated process so prepare to wait in several lines even if you are prepared with your FunPass. Once on board the boat, you are able to go straight to the Lido deck for lunch, but do not get your hopes up. The food is awful and reminded me of hospital food. This was the standard set for every meal we ate on the ship. Dining Room or buffet, the food was horrible. Overcooked, flavorless, and just lacked quality overall. The entire trip was extremely rocky and I was grateful that I wore my motion sickness patch, but it didn't not make the ride any smoother. I could not wait to get off the ship when we docked in Cozumel. Had I not had to pay for every bottle of water/soda and tip every person I saw on the ship, I would have had enough money to purchase a plane ticket from Cozumel back to New Orleans. The weather was too windy and cold to enjoy time outside on the Lido deck, but I credit that to taking a cruise in November. It was great to spend time with family but next time I will opt for a bigger ship and possibly a different cruise line altogether. I would not recommend the Fantasy to anyone.
