Too low-key

Ship: Carnival Triumph | Sail Date: 09/19/2009 | Destination: Canada/New England

Maybe it's the time of year and location, but all of the excursions were on the boring/low-key side. Besides the high cost, they were run poorly as well. It took an hour to reboard the ship at Boston. Totally inexcusible. Heads should roll over that ineptitude.

Tours

Ship: Carnival Victory | Sail Date: 09/15/2007 | Destination: Canada/New England

I sailed on the Victory 9/15-22/2007 and previously on the Elation in July 2007. Although the menu was the same, the meals onboard the Victory were not as appetizing as the Elation. I would like to thank ROMAN from the Ukraine for the wonderful Lido deck service. The Halifax tour left muc

Trying not to get discouraged

Ship: Carnival Victory | Sail Date: 07/20/2006 | Destination: Canada/New England

This would be our second sailing on the Carnival Victory - both times being to Halifax, Canada. Our first time sailing was such a new experience, for both us & the couple we were traveling with, the nasty weather didn't crush our spirits at all. The ship was astounding, the shows were gre

2 - 89 Fun for all ages

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/13/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England

We had our family reunion on cruise this year. We were afraid because we had 26 people with ages ranging from 89 years old to 2 years and 80 % purley vegetarian. Every body enjoyed the cruise so much that they want to do another cruise for one of the future family reunion.

A very special trip

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/13/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England

The staff on board the ship made our trip very special. They took care of us, talked with us & laughed with us. I don't think we would have had as good a time if it hadn't been for the wonderful staff.

My 70th Birthday Cruise

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: o8/13/05 | Destination: Canada / New England

This gruise was selected by me to celebrate my 70th birthday. I invited my three children, their spouses and my grandchildren, including myself and my husabd 15 people. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, wondering if we would all get along OK, and if they would like it. Only one of my children had cruised before, so it was wonderful to see how people who thought they knew everything, found the joys of cruising!!! My grandchildren ranging in age from almost 7 to 21 had a fantastic time, they all want to go again. They ship was great, the food was wonderful and I couldn't have a better birthday party.

Everything was great

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/14/05 | Destination: Canada / New England

Everything was great and my family and I enjoyed ourselves. If I was to have one complint it is one of a practical nature. The buttons on the elevators should be illuminated so that the respective floor numbers ccould be seen easier.

7 children - loved it

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/21/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England

cruising with children on carnival is wonderful. they enjoy the kids clubs so much. the have endless activity for all ages. we traveled with 7 children ranging from 5-15 & they all had a blast. they also allow the children to be in the club while you go off the ship at port. not all cruise lines allow that. some of the ports can be boring for children depending on there age. we've been on many cruise lines & carnival is the best for children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard and are busy planning our next

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: August 13, 2005 | Destination: Canada / New England

We have enjoyed several cruises and the last one was one of our best. The weather, sailing and destination was fantastic the whole time. The Triump is more low keyed and not so busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard and are busy planning our next.

Didn't want to be with mom

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 8/13/05 | Destination: Canada / New England

The children were so busy. They both loved the activities, especially the 10-year old. She had the best time ever. They did such interesting things and the counselors were wonderful. The 7-year old usually likes to hang around his mother, but not on this cruise. We will definitely do it again.

Amazing cruise, lots of relaxation

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/22/2006 | Destination: Canada / New England

Our cruise on the Carnival Triumph was amazing. We are recently engaged and needed a break from our wedding planning. The crew of the Triumph gave us the break we needed. Sailing out of New York was maginficent and sailing back in -- although it signaled the end of our cruise -- was just as spectacular as the sun came up over our city. The only problem -- the cruise was too short. We are still talking about our cruise and we can't wait to take another.

We Selected the Triumph Again!

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/13/05 | Destination: Canada / New England

My wife Arleen and I are in our early 40's and have cruised every year for the last 7 years --Mostly on Carnival. Our third cruise was on the Triumph during her inaugeral year. We found it to be a well laid out and beautiful ship. Normally,I would select a ship I have not been on because we love the excitement of exploring and experiencing new and modern cruise ships. We selected the Triumph again because we wanted to experience the Nova Scotia ports. Much to our surprise and excitement, the Triumph looked as good it she did when we first cruised. Even better because the new bedding was in place, and yes it makes a difference! The great condition of the ship was a little surprising because the ship is due for a drydock in October for a complete refurbishment. I may abandon my policy of selecting new ships in favor of giving the Triumph a third try next summer!
