Kids 12-15
Ship: Fascination | Sail Date: 06/27/09 | Destination: Bahamas
I would not recommend the cruise for kids this age. We cruised with our younger son 7 -- and 2 daughters ages 12&13. For kids 5-9 the activities and camp carnival is wonderful. For older teens 15-17 the club O2 provides a great hangout spot. However ages 12-15 kids are left out in the co

Christmas Cruise
Ship: Carnival Freedom | Sail Date: 12/20/08 | Destination: Caribbean
Traveling with my daughter, her husband and her children (aged 17 and 20), we had a wonderful eight days on Carnival Freedom. The food was good, and very plentiful! Our dining room waiter, Edgar, was outstanding. His attentiveness to the grandchildren was especially appreciated. The ship is

What about the 18 to 20 Year Olds?
Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 12/29/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean
My family of four (me, wife, 16 year old son, 19 year old daughter) sailed on Carnival Fantasy, leaving from New Orleans on 12/29/07 and returning 1/03/08. We were all first-time-cruisers. Overall, we had a good time, but dare I say it: It could have been a lot better!
First of all,

Staff members were always nice and friendly
Ship: Valor | Sail Date: August 21,05 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Enjoyed wakeing up in morning and seeing the ocean outside my window. Staff members were always nice, and friendly, always spoke when them saw us. Music in lounge was what I liked to listen to. Lots to do for my kids, never a dull moment for them. Your cruise line is the only one that I know of that has helped the people that was displaced from hurricane Katrina, thank you for your help. I would choose your cruise line again because of your help to these people

We went with our children
Ship: Celebration | Sail Date: 08/13/2005 | Destination: Bahamas
My husband and I went with our children. We went to celebrate my 40th birthday. My 40th birthday was on Captian's night. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the activites. We brought a 8 year old girl and a 17 year old boy. Our son had a great time with his group. Our daughter wasn't as happy with her group, but on the way to the cruise she spent time with her 11 cousins, and I believe that explains her attitude. We are planning on booking another cruise, with a huge group of our family... Can discounts be in order?

They have the process down for the kids
Ship: Fascination | Sail Date: 08/15/2005 | Destination: Southern Caribbean
Traveling with children can be quiet taxing, however on this cruise it was much different. The check-in process went smooth, the finding of our rooms was easy and of course not having to hear, I'm hungry!, what's to eat! made my life easy. I took this cruise with my 4 sons, ages 10, 12, 14, and 18 and at no time did I worry about their safety on the ship, worry about entertaining them or feeding them. I would recommend to any parent wanting to take a family vacation that all can enjoy, Carnival is it. My 2 youngest went to Camp Carnvial, my 14 year old, lived in the arcade, and my 18 year old went to a few of the shows, and me, I got to rest in my room, watching the 1st run movies in peace and quiet. Do this cruise not just for one person in the family but for everybody.

This was our first cruise and we absolutely loved it
Ship: Holiday | Sail Date: 08/11/2005 | Destination: Mexico
I have a family of 6 ages 4yrs,10yrs, 15yrs, 18yrs, 43 and 45. This was our first cruise and we absolutely loved it. Everyone on the ship was so nice. The ship was so very clean. The food was fantastic and the entertainment was age appropriate. I was so surprised at the amount of food, the availabliliy, and the quality. Our 4 year old son opted to stay with us at all times and this was great for us. We liked it that way but it was neat to see the other kids with their play groups having so much fun. One day that sticks out the most is the day that the kids dressed up like pirates. Their faces were painted and they made hats and had scarfs on. The walked around the ship signing pirate songs. It was great. You could tell that the adults that were running the program were having as much fun as the kids. They had so much to offer young kids. I was impressed. Our 10 year old daughter opted to hang out with us too. She absolutely loved the twisty slide. She and her older sister would walk around the ship at night and find age appropriate things to do. One night the two of them got this great picture taken. It was a very safe environment that my husband and I felt very comportable letting the two of them go out. Our 15 year old son made alot of friends and spent his time at the age appropriate club. He really enjoyed being able to do things on his own and again we felt comfortable with know that he was at a very controlled event. The music was great for him and the entertainment was 'awesome'. Our daughter who is 18 loved every aspect of the cruise. The cruise was a combination of three gifts. Jena's (the 18 year old)graduation present, her 18th birthday present, and my husband and my 20th wedding anniversary. Being that it was a big part for Jena is the reason why we chose mexico. Jena is at college majoring in Spanish and Youth Ministry. Cozumel was the perfert choice. Our experience in Mexico was amazing. We went to a near by beach and went snorkling. We did not opt for one of the excersions that the ship offered only because of the wide range of ages in our family. We wanted something that everyone could do. The 3 older kids and my husband and I tried the snorkling and it was fantastic. The fish were incredible. The would swim all around us. The color of the fish was unbelieveable. We bought an underwater disposable camera and the pictures actually came out ok. It was a once in a lifetime moment. Then we went back to the shopping area and had a great time. It was so much fun for the kids and the goods were inexpensive. There was something for everyone. Going back to the ship was just as much fun. It was a very easy but extremely secure thing to do. As I said earlier the food was incredible! From breakfast to lunch to dinner. Food was available around the clock and always fresh and great. We opted for the sit down dinner every night. Our waiters, Godfrey and Edmund were absolutely wonderful. They were great with all the kids especially our 4 year old. The service was great and the food I can't say enough about. My 15 year almost drooled when he say Lobster Tail on the menu. His absolute favorite. The variety every night was great, the kids menu was great and the recommendations from Godfrey and Edmund turned out to be just what everyone loved. The entertainment at dinner was super too. What a neat idea and what great shows. As you can tell we had a great time on our cruise and look forward to another. I do want to tell you that economically I don't think anyone could choose anything better. We looked into going to a beach for a week and did alot of cost comparison. The cost of the cruise was the best deal by far. Everything being included in the price makes it the best vacation package you could ask for. And we got to experience another country!!!! Thank you for a fantastic experience. Sincerely, Theresa B. Portelli

Rest and grankids had fun
Ship: Inspiration | Sail Date: 08/20/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
This was my grandson's first cruise and I brought along his friend thinking that he would be bored (13 years). There were so many children of their age aboard that they had a wonderful time. I got the rest I desereved and was able to catch up on my reading. I also want to thank you for providing the clothes for the captain's night when our luggage did not arrive. You made the night special. The evening theater programs were excellent. Everything and everyone was just great! I was impressed with the quality of the service and the kind and helpful nature of the crew. Great job

4 year old - loved it
Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 08/18/05 | Destination: Bahamas
The Fantasy Cruise Ship was a lot of fun. My biggest worry was that my four year old daughter would be stuck with me for four days, but she went crazy over Camp Carnival. They tailored the activities for her age group and made them fun and easy to play. Having a party in the disco for her age group made her feel really special as well. My daughter and mother absolutely loved the food! I mean I gained 7 pounds!! But we truly had a lot of fun, my mother was stuck at the casino and my daughter and I loved the broadway show. The entire cruise was really entertaining.

11 year old loved
Ship: Fascination | Sail Date: 08/12/2005 | Destination: Bahamas
Initially, I chose this cruise because of the value. For all of the amenities the price seemed great. But, I was concerned about taking my 11 year old on a cruise line I had always associated with the singles scene. I wasn't sure there would be enough to keep him entertained. Once onboard, I was pleased to find a variety of activities available for children of all age groups; toddlers to teens. Scott played miniature golf, ping pong, and arcade games. There were also group activities organized by the Cruise Director, games and dances. I was relieved to find that there were lots of other kids on the cruise. I didn't have to be Scott's sole means of entertainment. I found myself alone, but not for long. Guess what! I made new friends, and actually had a chance to relax and enjoy MY vacation, too. Thanks, Carnival! I'll see you next summer.

Many wonderful things
Ship: Inspiration | Sail Date: 08/15/05 | Destination: Western Caribbean
Although the Carnival Cruise Lines offer many wonderful things, including many, many onboard activities, wonderful shore excursions, various and fun children's activities and the best and freshest foods on any cruise lines, I have to say that the best thing about Carnival is the employees. From the minute you step on board your ship you are pampered beyond all expectations. The employees all contribute 120% of their efforts into making the cruise an unforgettable experience. Our cabin steward, dining room staff, Purser's Office staff, and everyone you come in contact with is accomodating, upbeat and always smiling. In my humble opinion, it is the staff and employees of a cruise that can make or break a cruise, and this group was beyond excellent. Thank you all for one of the best vacations of my life (so far). I will be booking more curises with Carnival!

Thank you to the Cruise Director
Ship: Liberty | Sail Date: 8/13/05 - 8/25/05 | Destination: Europe
Our end of summer cruise on the Carnival Liberty was a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. The ship itself was incredible, the Cruise Director, John Heald, was the best we've ever had - our family still watches the DVD we purchased of the Welcome Aboard Show and the Guest Talent Show / Bedtime Story. Our kids (ages 12 and 7)laughed their heads off! Each port was spectacular - I especially enjoyed coming into Venice and Dubrovnik. The art the was brought on board by Park West for the Art Auction was world-class! We ended up with several pieces including a hand signed Picasso, 2 Dalis and 5 Rembrandt etchings, when I never intended to buy anything! The staff and service was superb - we especially enjoyed our dining staff Renee and Armando. Harry's Supper Club was another dining experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The kids enjoyed Camp Carnival as usual, especially my 7 year old. It was our 3 Carnival Cruise (we've done the Spirit to Alaska and the Elation when it sailed to the Mexican Riviera.) My brother's family from New York joined us and it was their 1st Carnival Cruise experience and they would love to go on another Carnival Cruise with us to Mexico. We may even do Alaska again.

Cruising on the Carnival Conquest was the most fun
Ship: Conquest | Sail Date: 08/14/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
We traveled with a main group of 6 hooking up with another group of about 20. Cruising on the Carnival Conquest was the most fun we have ever had. The ship was beautiful, staff wonderful and food spectacular! There was a wide variety of activities and entertainment, literally something for everyone of every age even if you never left the ship. We were counciled in shore excursions and shopping leaving no room for error. We had wonderful experiences off shore as well aboard the ship. We loved watching the families with their children. Teh children having a blast with activities and exploring. I couldn't have picked a better way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks to Carnival and their wonderful staff for an unforgetable 7 days. We are already planning future Carnival Cruises with a large number of family and friends. We sailed from the New Orleans port, spending 3 great tourist days in that great city. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all effected by Hurricane Katrina. Thanks to all who made our New Orleans stay so wonderful. May God bless you all. Dave and Karen Bowden Bellingham, WA

Fun for 16
Ship: Paradise | Sail Date: 08/12/2005 | Destination: Mexico
We were travelling with another family - total 16 in the group - 9 adults and 3 children (ages 10-17) and 4 grandchildren (ages 5 - 8). The adults had plenty of adult activities and the children loved their activities as well. Nice to have paid babysitters so the adults can entrust their children to someone who can entertain them as well as having some free time to enjoy the adult activities. Food was O.K. Nice presentation but somewhat lacking in flavor. Service was great. Cabin service was appreciated and loved the towel animals. So did the kids.

A room with a veranda
Ship: Valor | Sail Date: 8/21/05 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean
It is always a pain getting on the ship, especially in the 90+ heat. Room was great. Comfortable for two teens and two adults. Veranda was a nice touch. We could sit out there for hours. Of course, too many onboard activities, too little time. We did go to the show every night and the after 12 midnight comedy shows. All were terrific. Not enoght shade by the pool for my husband. Food was good, I gained 5 pounds(thank you very much) My 12 year old stayed with her preteen group 80% of the time. Our wait-staff wanted to meet her! Our night service team were unbelievable. We wrote something extra special about them in the onboard survey. Ms. Giedra and Dan were their names. Usually the room person introduces himself/herself there were so many workers on our floor I really didn't know who was in our room. Room cleanliness was great thought. I finally got to go kayaking with my 17 year old in St. Thomas. The highlight of my trip!!! He also had the best time(met a girl from Canada!) We never saw them. My only disappointment was the night skies were not clear and we missed seeing the milky way and the shooting stars. (not your fault) We live near NYC and the night sky is always difficult to see. This is our 5th Carnival cruise and we are never disappointed. My husband and I get to spend a lot of time alone.(Kids are having fun elsewhere) A great time. Mary Wolchan
