Grand Cayman - stingrays

Ship: Conquest | Sail Date: 08/13/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean

I really enjoyed the cruise with my children and parents. I loved Grand Cayman especially swimming with the Stingrays which was awesome. I loved Cozumel it was the best snorkelling in the world. I have also booked a cruise in March next year on the Panama Canal and the European Cruise next July with my children and parents. We all had a great time.

Great sleep

Ship: Liberty | Sail Date: August 13, 2005 | Destination: Europe

A fabulous trip! Loved being on the ship and waking up every day in a new destination. An incredibly efficient and attentive crew. Efficient and comfortable staterooms. Mattresses were the best. Became addicted to the spa treatments. Hard to choose shore excursions with so many excellent choices. Really need to do this cruise twice. Our 14 year old son loved meeting other teens and having a sense of independence that the safety of the ship allowed. The hightlite was cruising into Venice at midday. An incredible and unforgetable experience. It is over a month since we returned and we are still missing the ship and the people we met. Cannot wait til our next cruise.

Many wonderful things

Ship: Inspiration | Sail Date: 08/15/05 | Destination: Western Caribbean

Although the Carnival Cruise Lines offer many wonderful things, including many, many onboard activities, wonderful shore excursions, various and fun children's activities and the best and freshest foods on any cruise lines, I have to say that the best thing about Carnival is the employees. From the minute you step on board your ship you are pampered beyond all expectations. The employees all contribute 120% of their efforts into making the cruise an unforgettable experience. Our cabin steward, dining room staff, Purser's Office staff, and everyone you come in contact with is accomodating, upbeat and always smiling. In my humble opinion, it is the staff and employees of a cruise that can make or break a cruise, and this group was beyond excellent. Thank you all for one of the best vacations of my life (so far). I will be booking more curises with Carnival!

Neet's Bey Salmon Hatchery and Bear Adventure

Ship: Spirit | Sail Date: 08/17/2005 | Destination: Alaska

We cruised with the kids to Alaska; there was 9 people in our group. The shore excursion we loved the most was a last minute on e we picked to Neet's Bey Salmon Hatchery and Bear Adventure. We Loved it and saw bears 3 feet in front of us!!! We would recommended this trip and shore excursion to everyone. The scenery was something you will only find in Alaska; the people on shore were very nice and helpfull; we will do this again in about 5 years.

Shore excursions with the kids

Ship: Inspiration | Sail Date: 08/20/05 | Destination: Western Caribbean

My son, DIL and 8 year old granddaughter had a wonderful time! We did the Jeep and Snorkle excursion and the swimming with stringrays excursion. If you've never swam with stingrays, you are in for a great adventure. You could touch them and my DIL even got a kiss!! The photo op can't be beat. Our vacation was beyond awesome. This was my second cruise with Carnival. I went on the inaugural cruise on the Glory also. If you've never cruised, you've not had a vacation yet.

Camp Stuff and Island Destinations

Ship: Legend | Sail Date: 08/25/2005 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean

My children LOVED the cruise. The camp staff was great and made even my two year old feel comfortable. My 10 year old enjoyed the flexability of signing in and out of camp carnival and loved the activities. The island destinations were great and we enjoyed the beautiful beaches, snorkling and mountain biking in St. Thomas and Tortola.

3 Generation Cruise

Ship: Legend | Sail Date: 09/25/2005 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean

This cruise was three generations of 'Gifford' women. Grandmother, Mother and 2 Daughters. Grandma and Mom are happily married, but chose to leave the men at home. The granddaughters were 12 and 16. This was our second 'Fun Ship' girls only cruise together and will not be our last. The Legend was spectacular...the Greco-Roman decor was especially appreciated by my 16 year old Latin student, she got extra points for a picture we took of her in front of the Trojan Horse frieze. This cruise helped the kids gain some 'independence experience.' The 16 year old LOVED Club O2...she said it was the 'JO', the 'jump off' I am not sure what that means, but she still kisses the little 'O2' sticker on her Sign & Sail card! The 12 year old made new friends (which is hard for her) and enjoyed activities with Camp Carnival well into the night. Mom and I made some new memories in Club Merlin...the casino. What fun! There was a particular bar waitress that got to know us - she knew whose turn it was to 'buy' and always tracked down the other to deliver the drink! The excursions were fantastic as well...our favorite, the Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo, Puerto Rico commonly known as Laguna Grande, should not be missed. To dip a hand from from your kayak and ignite your own miniature fireworks display in your palm is dizzying; to swim in a glittery sea is beyond sensual beyond explanation. The ship became our floating community, we got to know lots of other cruisers and enjoyed the company of all. Even the days at sea were memorable; I won a 24 karat plastic ship on a stick for a trivia game! I cannot say enough about the fun ships, they really are fun for all ages. Thank you Carnival!
