Hours at the Pool
Ship: Sensation | Sail Date: 08/18/05 | Destination: Mexico
My husband and I took our 2 grandchildren on a 4 day cruise to Cozumel. They are 8 & 10 years old. The children were so busy. Every day they were involved with Camp Carnival and loved the program. They spent many hours at the pool. Meal times were wonderful. The children loved being treated like adults and being able to eat all they wanted!! It was the best vacation we have ever had. We can't wait to do it again.

This was our first cruise and we absolutely loved it
Ship: Holiday | Sail Date: 08/11/2005 | Destination: Mexico
I have a family of 6 ages 4yrs,10yrs, 15yrs, 18yrs, 43 and 45. This was our first cruise and we absolutely loved it. Everyone on the ship was so nice. The ship was so very clean. The food was fantastic and the entertainment was age appropriate. I was so surprised at the amount of food, the availabliliy, and the quality. Our 4 year old son opted to stay with us at all times and this was great for us. We liked it that way but it was neat to see the other kids with their play groups having so much fun. One day that sticks out the most is the day that the kids dressed up like pirates. Their faces were painted and they made hats and had scarfs on. The walked around the ship signing pirate songs. It was great. You could tell that the adults that were running the program were having as much fun as the kids. They had so much to offer young kids. I was impressed. Our 10 year old daughter opted to hang out with us too. She absolutely loved the twisty slide. She and her older sister would walk around the ship at night and find age appropriate things to do. One night the two of them got this great picture taken. It was a very safe environment that my husband and I felt very comportable letting the two of them go out. Our 15 year old son made alot of friends and spent his time at the age appropriate club. He really enjoyed being able to do things on his own and again we felt comfortable with know that he was at a very controlled event. The music was great for him and the entertainment was 'awesome'. Our daughter who is 18 loved every aspect of the cruise. The cruise was a combination of three gifts. Jena's (the 18 year old)graduation present, her 18th birthday present, and my husband and my 20th wedding anniversary. Being that it was a big part for Jena is the reason why we chose mexico. Jena is at college majoring in Spanish and Youth Ministry. Cozumel was the perfert choice. Our experience in Mexico was amazing. We went to a near by beach and went snorkling. We did not opt for one of the excersions that the ship offered only because of the wide range of ages in our family. We wanted something that everyone could do. The 3 older kids and my husband and I tried the snorkling and it was fantastic. The fish were incredible. The would swim all around us. The color of the fish was unbelieveable. We bought an underwater disposable camera and the pictures actually came out ok. It was a once in a lifetime moment. Then we went back to the shopping area and had a great time. It was so much fun for the kids and the goods were inexpensive. There was something for everyone. Going back to the ship was just as much fun. It was a very easy but extremely secure thing to do. As I said earlier the food was incredible! From breakfast to lunch to dinner. Food was available around the clock and always fresh and great. We opted for the sit down dinner every night. Our waiters, Godfrey and Edmund were absolutely wonderful. They were great with all the kids especially our 4 year old. The service was great and the food I can't say enough about. My 15 year almost drooled when he say Lobster Tail on the menu. His absolute favorite. The variety every night was great, the kids menu was great and the recommendations from Godfrey and Edmund turned out to be just what everyone loved. The entertainment at dinner was super too. What a neat idea and what great shows. As you can tell we had a great time on our cruise and look forward to another. I do want to tell you that economically I don't think anyone could choose anything better. We looked into going to a beach for a week and did alot of cost comparison. The cost of the cruise was the best deal by far. Everything being included in the price makes it the best vacation package you could ask for. And we got to experience another country!!!! Thank you for a fantastic experience. Sincerely, Theresa B. Portelli

Kids didn't do Camp
Ship: Celebration | Sail Date: 08/13/05 | Destination: Bahamas
This was our family's first cruise and we were very neverous about taking our childern, ages 12,5 & 3. Our childern did not participate in the camp as much as we'd hope they would, however the time they spent there they seemed to have a good time. Dinner was best part of the cruise for the whole family. Our waiters were the best. They really made dinner a fun experience for the kids. Every night they they would joke, make napkin puppets with the kids. As a parent it was so nice to enjoy a fancy meal and not have to worry about the kids being out of place. Our waiters, Enrique and Elena were the great they kept an endless supply of chocolate milk and mac/cheese coming throughout the entire cruise! I also loved how they were able to get my kids to partcipate in the group singing and dancing for the nightly dinner show, getting a 12 to dance is nearly impossible I would love to know how they did it. This was a vacation our family won't forger.

4 year old - loved it
Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 08/18/05 | Destination: Bahamas
The Fantasy Cruise Ship was a lot of fun. My biggest worry was that my four year old daughter would be stuck with me for four days, but she went crazy over Camp Carnival. They tailored the activities for her age group and made them fun and easy to play. Having a party in the disco for her age group made her feel really special as well. My daughter and mother absolutely loved the food! I mean I gained 7 pounds!! But we truly had a lot of fun, my mother was stuck at the casino and my daughter and I loved the broadway show. The entire cruise was really entertaining.

Liked the Miracle
Ship: Miracle | Sail Date: 08/14/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
This was our first cruise and it was wonderful. The weather was warm and comfortable. The staff aboard the Miracle were fantastic. They were always cheerful and helpful. The ship was kept clean and it never felt crowded even with a full load of passengers. The decor is elegant, with beautiful wood, glass sculptures, and classic paintings. On our trip there were lots of families. Our two boys, 13 and 15, found lots of new friends to hang out with. There was always an activity that they could do if they wanted. The cruiseline has a newsletter that tells all the days activities one can do; for kids and adults. I felt safe having the boys walk around the ship on their own. The food was delicious and varied. You could eat in the formal dining hall or be casual and eat on the Lido deck. There was always someone to clean up after you right away. The rooms are clean and the staff provides you with a clean beach towel everyday to use on the ship or on shore. They make you a towel animal and put it on your bed each day with chocolates. This makes your stay very festive. You can book a shore excursion from your room or go to the excursion desk and book there. They have all the information you need to make your decision. They have easy activity level excursions to highly active excursions to choose from. We did cave tubing in Belize and loved it. You walk through a rain forest as the guide tells you about the plant and animal life. Then you float on your tube through a cave and down a river. Afterwards they provide you with a lunch and back to the ship you go. All well planned out. I highly recommend Carnival Cruises as they provide professional staff, beautiful ships, delicious food, great destinations, and fantastic shore excursions all with families in mind. Thanks Carnival for making our first cruise a vacation we will not soon forget.

Food the kids liked
Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/13/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England
My daughters, ages 8, 5, and 1, loved our cruise. Camp Carnival was fantastic- everything from the activities to the counselors! The best part for my husband and I was not having to worry about what to do for meals. The breafast buffet in the morning had something that each of my kids would eat. Same with lunch. I was apprehensive about eating in the dining room with 3 kids for dinner, but we wound up doing just that every night! The kids loved the food, and the servers were excellent and very entertaining. I am already planning my next cruise- I firmly believe that it is the easiest way to travel with kids.

Thank you to the Cruise Director
Ship: Liberty | Sail Date: 8/13/05 - 8/25/05 | Destination: Europe
Our end of summer cruise on the Carnival Liberty was a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. The ship itself was incredible, the Cruise Director, John Heald, was the best we've ever had - our family still watches the DVD we purchased of the Welcome Aboard Show and the Guest Talent Show / Bedtime Story. Our kids (ages 12 and 7)laughed their heads off! Each port was spectacular - I especially enjoyed coming into Venice and Dubrovnik. The art the was brought on board by Park West for the Art Auction was world-class! We ended up with several pieces including a hand signed Picasso, 2 Dalis and 5 Rembrandt etchings, when I never intended to buy anything! The staff and service was superb - we especially enjoyed our dining staff Renee and Armando. Harry's Supper Club was another dining experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The kids enjoyed Camp Carnival as usual, especially my 7 year old. It was our 3 Carnival Cruise (we've done the Spirit to Alaska and the Elation when it sailed to the Mexican Riviera.) My brother's family from New York joined us and it was their 1st Carnival Cruise experience and they would love to go on another Carnival Cruise with us to Mexico. We may even do Alaska again.

Cruising on the Carnival Conquest was the most fun
Ship: Conquest | Sail Date: 08/14/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
We traveled with a main group of 6 hooking up with another group of about 20. Cruising on the Carnival Conquest was the most fun we have ever had. The ship was beautiful, staff wonderful and food spectacular! There was a wide variety of activities and entertainment, literally something for everyone of every age even if you never left the ship. We were counciled in shore excursions and shopping leaving no room for error. We had wonderful experiences off shore as well aboard the ship. We loved watching the families with their children. Teh children having a blast with activities and exploring. I couldn't have picked a better way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks to Carnival and their wonderful staff for an unforgetable 7 days. We are already planning future Carnival Cruises with a large number of family and friends. We sailed from the New Orleans port, spending 3 great tourist days in that great city. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all effected by Hurricane Katrina. Thanks to all who made our New Orleans stay so wonderful. May God bless you all. Dave and Karen Bowden Bellingham, WA

Fun for 16
Ship: Paradise | Sail Date: 08/12/2005 | Destination: Mexico
We were travelling with another family - total 16 in the group - 9 adults and 3 children (ages 10-17) and 4 grandchildren (ages 5 - 8). The adults had plenty of adult activities and the children loved their activities as well. Nice to have paid babysitters so the adults can entrust their children to someone who can entertain them as well as having some free time to enjoy the adult activities. Food was O.K. Nice presentation but somewhat lacking in flavor. Service was great. Cabin service was appreciated and loved the towel animals. So did the kids.

A room with a veranda
Ship: Valor | Sail Date: 8/21/05 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean
It is always a pain getting on the ship, especially in the 90+ heat. Room was great. Comfortable for two teens and two adults. Veranda was a nice touch. We could sit out there for hours. Of course, too many onboard activities, too little time. We did go to the show every night and the after 12 midnight comedy shows. All were terrific. Not enoght shade by the pool for my husband. Food was good, I gained 5 pounds(thank you very much) My 12 year old stayed with her preteen group 80% of the time. Our wait-staff wanted to meet her! Our night service team were unbelievable. We wrote something extra special about them in the onboard survey. Ms. Giedra and Dan were their names. Usually the room person introduces himself/herself there were so many workers on our floor I really didn't know who was in our room. Room cleanliness was great thought. I finally got to go kayaking with my 17 year old in St. Thomas. The highlight of my trip!!! He also had the best time(met a girl from Canada!) We never saw them. My only disappointment was the night skies were not clear and we missed seeing the milky way and the shooting stars. (not your fault) We live near NYC and the night sky is always difficult to see. This is our 5th Carnival cruise and we are never disappointed. My husband and I get to spend a lot of time alone.(Kids are having fun elsewhere) A great time. Mary Wolchan

Our cruise experience was wonderful
Ship: Inspiration | Sail Date: 8/20/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
Even though my husband was not looking forward to it. He now says he'd love to go back. The crew members were very friendly and helpful, the food was fabulous, the room accommodations were great. We were with a group, including several children. There were comments from fellow passengers complaining about there being so many children aboard. However, our grandchildren had a wonderful time.

Everyone had an awesome time
Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 08/21/2005 | Destination: Bahamas
We cruise with other family members and everyone had an awesome time. The staff were great. We especially appreciate the fact that my mother, who required assistance, at times, with a wheel chair in getting around, was made to feel welcome aboard the ship. Our cabin stewart, Cabin U223, was really a delight, as well as pleasant, and helpful. The food, whether in the dining room or else where was great. The entertain we also enjoyed. It also helped that the weather was sunny while in Freeport and Nassau. Thanks for a great trip. We truly recommend Carnival, especially for those who have children. Ron and Linda Fanning

Group of 14 celebrating my 70th birthday
Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 8/18/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England
We traveled aboard the TRIUMPH with a family group of 14 celebrating my 70th birthday. The grandchildren aged from 6 to 13. EVERYONE enjoyed themselves. The children chose to stay with the adults and not 'go to camp.' The good weather contributed to lots of fun on deck; on the slides; in the pool; in the jacuzzi; eating soft ice cream whenever you wanted. Everyone enjoyed playing BINGO although no one won. The evening shows were terrific. The daning troupe weas outstanding. The all worked hard and brought forth a very entertaining evening. The meals were delicious and plentiful. I gained 8 pounds in 4 days. We celebrated a different birthday each evening with a cake each night. We would do it again in a heart-beat!

We all had a fantastic cruise
Ship: Miracle | Sail Date: 08/14/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
Generally speaking we all had a fantastic cruise. This is my 5th cruise, second on Carnival(1st was our honeymoon); my husbands 3rd and my daughter (14) her second. We booked a guaranteed oceanview cabin and when the tickets arrived we were upgraded 2 decks and also got an extended balcony cabin. We were all thrilled. I have never had a balcony cabin and now I will never cruise without one again. The cabin was always clean and was a good size. The bed was so comfortable I wish I could have taken it home with me. The food was very good and always plentiful. We ate on the Lido deck everyday for breakfast and lunch. They had such a good variety of food. My daughter loved the chinese food. Dinners in the dining room were great. We had a real good wait staff Joseph and Nikola, who were very attentive to all our needs. The desserts were also delicious (especially the flourless Chocolate Cake) and the chocolate chip cookies yum. The entertainment was first rate the shows were always good and I liked how they were scheduled for early & late seatings (diningroom). My daughter enjoyed herself. They had plenty to do for her age group. She was out later than us at night with the teen movies. One of the best things was the first night at dinner we were matched up at our table with another couple and their granddaughter who was the same age as our daughter. So they hung around together the whole cruise. Plus they met alot of other kids too. We also got along with the grandparents so we all did things together also. We did some fun excursions too. The island tour in Grand Cayman, The ruins in Belize which was very interesting. My daughter and I did the dolphin swim in Cozumel whish we both enjoyed and also we all did the Playa Mia beach break. So we got to swim in that beautiful blue water. I better conclude now or I will go on and on. We all had a SUPER FANTASTIC TIME ON THE CARNIVAL MIRACLE. I keep telling my friends they have to take a Carnival cruise it is so worth the money. I can't wait till we take another one. It is truly 'THE FUN SHIP'!!!!!! Sincerely, Alice Harlow

A vacation/wedding extravaganza
Ship: Imagination | Sail Date: 08/20/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean
This was a vacation/wedding extravaganza. My brother was to be married in Jamaica Ocho Rios at the Shaw Gardens. We had a beautiful experience from beginning to end. My children enjoyed themselves so much that my 10 year-old son has requested the bride and groom to have 1 year Anniversary cruise party. He has not stopped talking about the good time he had at Camp Carnival, the water slide and the good food. We had an excellent time this was most of the families and friends first cruise experience and it will not be the last. The crew was wonderful from Captain, Maitre D, servers, and stewards. The entertainment and the hosts for the entertaining was ENTERTAINING!!!!!! My mother, sister, niece, ok and I were involved with the games, talent shows and karaoke. I will never forget the experience and will always cherish the event our families shared aboard Carnival as priceless.

I must say this cruise was so much fun! My kids (14 & 11) could not say enough good things about their vacation. The food was great! The activities were fun! Most of all the service we received was second to none. I would recommend Carnival Cruise Lines to anyone!
