Start Planning!

Our "Funship" cruise redefined a family reunion. My little brother came home from serving a year in South Korea and we thought of no better way to celebrate with a cruise. A week on the Conquest let everyone see and spend quality time with him that would have taken a month to do at home. And while doing that we enjoyed great food, activities, and shore excursions. I can think of no better way of spending time with family than on a "Funship". We will be "Crusin' with Stefan" as soon as he returns from his current deployment in Iraq (A little saying we had put on buttons and wore while boarding the ship). Thanks for a spectacular time. - Jason Reiner

Awesome time

Ship: Fantasy | Sail Date: 08/10/2006 | Destination: Bahamas

This was my first time cruising and I had the best time ever. I am so ready to cruise again. I enjoyed everything about the cruise from the staff that tended to the rooms to the dining room staff. I was impressed that our servers could remember our names and greeted us everyday when we came

Dining Options

This is my first time on a cruise.. May 24th sailing date and I wanted to find out how I can book seating arrangements in advance for dining.  My family is a party of 6 and my son is 4 years old.  Also, some members of my family are allergic to seafood.

first time cruising

My husband and I never been on a cruise before. My husband took me for my birthday. We traveled on 2/2/08 to jamacia. My husband and I truely enjoyed every thing on the ship as well as off the ship. I was sea sick the whole time. I was taking dramamine pill the whole time. My Husband and I will be cruising again, but with the whole family this time. I plan to have a great time and experience new things. 3/2/08

We had such a fun filled 7 nights!

Ship: Destiny | Sail Date: 08/21/2005 | Destination: Eastern Caribbean

My husband, son and I, planned our first cruise ever and we chose Carnival. We had such a fun filled 7 nights!! The bonus for us as parents was that Carnival Destiny, had a 'Kids Camp' on board the ship. My son looked forward to hanging out with the other kids each day and loved participating in all the planned activities the camp offered for his age group. Your ctivities Director and his staff made my husband into a kid again, when he entered most of the contest and walked away with a few prized trophies as if he'd won the Olympics.....(smile) Your entire staff from activities, dining, to housekeeping staff, were so friendly and courteous. The only disappointing thing was the broken water pump that lead to the huge waterslide,(which my son and others looked forward to) being out of service for 5 of the 7 days. My husband and I found it surprising that a ship with engineers on board; not one could fix the broken water pump?! Dispite that, we had fun! fun! fun!

A great time in London

Ship: Truimph | Sail Date: 08/22/2005 | Destination: Canada / New England

We had a great time in the London restaurant made extra special by our waiter, Parez. He and the assistant waiter, made my two boys ages 8 and 11 feel very special. He sat down next to them to take their orders, kidded with them and help serve them special orders. Pavez even help get me extra portions when I wanted them. The assistant waiter got my wife up to dance in the dinning room as well. We all looked foward to dinner. All in all they helped to make our first cruise a very special one.

I had a wonderful time!

Ship: Destiny | Sail Date: 08/14/05 | Destination: Southern Caribbean

This was my first cruise and I have to say I had a wonderful time! My room was excellent and I especially enjoyed having the balcony. It particularly helped me, as I was slightly worried about getting sea sick. The spa treatments were a very relaxing change of pace. I was also surprised that the gym was so well-equipped! The food was excellent and there were actually a few choices for me, this is remarkable especially since I am a vegetarian! One day when there was a Japanese-themed meal, there was even tofu! The shore excursions were great...there was something for everyone. I particularly wanted to be very active in my excursions..it was nice to be able to relax on deck and get a massage, and go to the island and horseback ride, snorkel, or speedboat! I loved the variety. I was even able to participate onstage in the Palladium in a show and received complimentary champagne and a medal! I had an excellent time and will certainly look to your company for further vacations! Also, one suggestion, please try to have more vegetarian protein sources available:-. The veggie burgers and occasional tofu was greatly appreciated, though.

Our first cruise

Ship: Imagination | Sail Date: August 11 2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean

This was our first cruise we have always wanted to take a cruise and with our kids help it happend. Our first encounter with the representitive of the company was a positive one we had left one of our bags at the Miami airport, our formal clothes as a matter of fact, we reported the loss to them and they worked hard to get our clothes back to us. Unfortunately they were unable to get them for the formal dinner, however they gave us vouchers for clothes from the formal shop so we could attend the dinner. The clothes were provided to us at no cost. The rest of the trip was unforgettable the grand buffet was absolutely amazing not to be missed. Dinner every night was fabulous all you could eat the wait staff were at your service at the raise of a hand, the entertainment at dinner was to say the least entertaining the staff sang and danced. The rooms were comfortable and well cared for. The room staff was very helpful and made every attempt to make you feel at home. Every night we arrived at our room to find the beds turned down a mint on the pillow and a personally designed animal made from towels. We are even now planning our next cruise. The shore excursions were plentiful and relaxing we did a sight seeing tour of down town Key West and of Cozumel Mexico. The water of the Carribean was absolutely beautiful, we can't wait to go again.

The best vacation value I have had

Ship: Elation | Sail Date: 08/21/2005 | Destination: Mexico

My cruise was the best vacation value I have had. The ship accommodations were great. Slobodan made dining so much fun it was all we could do to wait for dinner. Wilner our waiter in the bar was great. Katrina was always there with a smile and a few good words. The shore excursions were a great value, as were the local guides. Our room steward and her towel art was always something we looked forward to. Overall, it was the best time I have had on any vacation. I went to Europe last year for two weeks, and that was fun, but this cruise was far more fun, and cheaper too. I will defiantly be back! G. DiCaro
