Start Planning!

Our "Funship" cruise redefined a family reunion. My little brother came home from serving a year in South Korea and we thought of no better way to celebrate with a cruise. A week on the Conquest let everyone see and spend quality time with him that would have taken a month to do at home. And while doing that we enjoyed great food, activities, and shore excursions. I can think of no better way of spending time with family than on a "Funship". We will be "Crusin' with Stefan" as soon as he returns from his current deployment in Iraq (A little saying we had put on buttons and wore while boarding the ship). Thanks for a spectacular time. - Jason Reiner

Food was Horrible

Ship: Elation | Sail Date: 07/03/08 | Destination: > Baja Mexico

I just got back from the San Diego/Cabo San Lucas/San Diego trip with my husband for our anniversary. I have sailed on Carnival once before about 15 years ago and most recently on Royal Caribbean 4 years ago. The food and main dining service on this trip was nothing short of horrible. Breakf

Ship: Carnival Conquest | Sail Date: 1/20/08 | Destination: Caribbean

I am in the restaurant business. i went on this cruise, knowing that Carnival was not known for its food. i was absolutely appalled by what we were served. during more than one meal, we were served food that was actually rotten! moldy, rotten food. it got worse every day. they tell you

Food was Okay

Ship: Carnival Conquest | Sail Date: 09/30/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

The food overall looked exceptional. However there was nothing that I ate that made say "wow" There wasn't any food that I will wish I could have again. The food was good and it held up well on a buffet line. I understand that preparing food for that many people is hard. I just expected to b

Disappointing with a capital "D"

Ship: Carnival Liberty | Sail Date: 09/09/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

This was our second cruise on a Conquest class ship, as well as others and other Cruise Lines, and I must say that the food on this one ranks as The Worst: Entree's were served before or with appetizers, cold food was served warm and hot food served warm or even cold, steaks (the Filet and t

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 05/26/07 | Destination: > Eastern Caribbean

The coffee in the restaurants was delicious. The coffee at the beverage stations during the breakfast buffets, and lunch buffets was horrible!

Food

Ship: Carnival Miracle | Sail Date: 12/24/06 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

All I can say is the food in the dining room on this cruise was bland and mostly tasteless. It was the poorest quality of food, I have ever had on a Carnival cruise. The food up on the LIDO was 100% better. I guess the Maitre de agreed he was eating up there too!

Won't cruise Carnival again :(

Ship: Carnival Conquest | Sail Date: 8/27/06 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

Cabin was nice. Room stewards were good. Seated dinners were decent. Supper club meal (The Point) was good -- but it should be since we had to pay $65 extra for it (one meal)! Alternative dining was AWFUL -- The food was really bad and many of the "stations" weren't open when they were suppo

The cruise on the Lengend was out third Carnival cruise and it was a disappointment. The food on the Lido Deck was unpalatable and difficult to maneuver. I wanted fruit, yougurt and cold cereal for breakfast and had to visit all corners of the dinind area to get them. The Lido Deck food was

What an incredible experience

Ship: Sensation | Sail Date: 08/06/2006 | Destination: Bahamas

This was our first cruise ever, and I have to say that Carnival and the Sensation crew exceeded our expectation in every way. The food, the service, the activities were all much more than we were hoping for. The only problem with the cruise was the length. We should have chosen more than

Slended Food & Dining

Ship: Elation | Sail Date: 02/04/06 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

Our waiter was CoCo..We had the best time with CoCo..He was so sweet and attended to our ever want. He was just a superb waiter. If we thought we might want a Lobster (and) also to try the Prime Rib, CoCo got them both for us. Of course we could not eat like that every night. Too much food

Re:Chocolate Melting Cake Recipe

My wife and and just returned from our 8th cruise, all on Carnival(this one on the Liberty) and our waiter gave us the recipe for the Chocolate Melting Cake.  As follows, this is exactly as printed:

Ingredients:

Chocolate                  1 lb.,  Unsalted Butter      1 lb.,  Fresh Eggs     10 each

Flour   5.5 Oz.,   Sugar   4 Oz.

Method:  Melt chocolate along with butter.   Beat eggs in double boiler with sugar and sifted flour and mix.  Fold in melted chocolate and butter in sugar and flour mix.  Bake @ 240 Degrees for twelve minutes in desired dish.  Serve with Ice Cream of your choice.
