I just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Glory (Dec 20-27) out of Port Canaveral where I stayed in a balcony stateroom (6487). The cruise itself was wonderful excpet for the rash I developed on the first night of the cruise. The rash grew worse every night so that by the 7th day of the

Carnival Glory

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 04/12/2008 | Destination: > Eastern Caribbean

We had an ocean view, it was great. It was bigger than I thought it would be. The bed was really comfortable, we slept like babies. It was very clean. Next time, we will be getting a room with a balcony, just for the extra privacy, and having breakfast on your private balcony must be gre

Stateroom

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 01/20/07 | Destination: > Eastern Caribbean

We were given a stateroom on deck 3 at the vey end of the ship. Please be aware if you are given this cabin that you will experience loud engine noise especially when docking. It is something that you don't get used to . The cabin itself was fine, having sailed twice before with carnival it

Cruising in style

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 05/31/08 | Destination: Caribbean

This was a special cruise because it was my husbands first. I decided to choose a 9A balcony cabin to help ease the first time fear of sickness. It was the best stateroom I've ever stayed. The balcony was huge and wrap around the boat. It was located 1 level below Lido deck and 2 levels

The ship was wonderful, very very clean, food was soo good. The service was to die for, everyone from food service to room service was very responive to anything we asked for. The only thing we needed in the room was a shower cap and some air refreshner, other wise very good.

My First Cruise

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 02/24/07 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

I had traveled before around the world, but never by ship. My first time on a cruise was amazing. The stewards and the dining room staff were terrific. The cruise is definitely meant for groups or couples, but I made it thru and am planning another. Do not be misguided by dining time

Let me start out by saying that I really do like Carnival . I think that over all you will get the best bang for you buck . My wife and I have sailed other lines and to be honest we do prefer Celebrity and will sail on Celebrity when we can snag a really good deal. The thing about Carniva

Simply outstanding

Ship: Carnival Glory | Sail Date: 11/18/06 | Destination: > Western Caribbean

The service was phenominal. Our room was cleaned, but we never saw our guy in our room. There was always fresh ice in the ice bucket.. The turn down service was also performed stealthy. The accomadations were very comfortable and surprisingly roomy. Plenty of closet space for clothes an

Carnival Glory-May 17 to May 24

Just got home from being on the Glory for the last week. We had a wonderful time. Stayed in a Junior Suite, Cabin 7325. Our cabin steward, Matthew, was awesome and our room was always cleaned very, very well even with our 1 year old that we traveled with.

Camp Carnival is only available for VERY limited baby sitting services for under 2.  I was unsure how this worked, but basically they will watch your child (change diaper and all) from 12-2 pm at sea days for $6.00 an hour and from 10p-3a for $6.00 an hour. During port days, they will watch them from either 7:15a-12p for $6.00 an hour or from 9a-12p and again from 10p-3a. Problem is that our daughter takes her nap at 12 (so on sea days we did not take her there) and she is in bed way before 10p. The 10p-3a service they offer is in the Camp Carnival itself and NOT in your room. So, we would have had to wake her up and take her there to use that service. (We of course, did not.) Luckily, she is a very happy child and self entertains. :)

Food was good. I would defintely recommend going to the Emerald Room and spend the extra $30 pp one night because the atmosphere and food was FANTASTIC!! The Lido deck had the same food offered day after day and the same for the breakfast in the sit down dining room.

The casino was the most disappointing part. We like to do a little gambling, but it was SO smoky that we could barely tolerate it!!! I still cannot understand why there is no smoking allowed in these types of environments!! I have been to bars in my lifetime too, but the amount of smoke in this casino was awful!!!!!

Of course there is the typical crazy rip off for the pictures they take on the ship. If they just sold them for half the price, they would sell so many more instead of throwing them away. They also now have detectors placed on the back of all the pictures, so you cannot steal them. However, again, they turn around and throw them all away at the end and there were hundreds and hundreds left over.

I was not impressed with the ports of call except for Cozumel. Probably would sale the Eastern Carribean next time. Carlos and Charles and Senor Frogs is a must in Cozumel!! Great time and fun atmosphere.

Hope this information helps some of you. Happy Cruising!!

Fantastic Ship and Crew

Ship: Glory | Sail Date: 08/22/2005 | Destination: Bahamas

The ship was fantastic and the crew was even better! The service was top notch, the amenities were beautiful as well as comfortable, and the food was great. We were wonderfully surprised to see how modern and very spacious our exterior cabin was and we were impressed by how easy it was to purchase everything from drinks to excursions. Between the shows in the amphitheater, the activities and the presentations, there was so much to see and do, but our favorite past-time was just laying in the sun in the open sea air. We had a terrific time and we can't wait to sail with Carnival again!

The Glory big but very personal

Ship: Glory | Sail Date: 8/13/2005 | Destination: Western Caribbean

while the glory was one of carnivals bigger ships, we never felt crowded and everything ran very smooth. the ship was very clean and the staterooms were very comfortable. most importantly, the ship cruised very smoothly, at times you didn't even know you were at sea.
