About Carnival Connections
Planning Your Cruise
- How do I start planning a cruise?
- Simply select the START PLANNING tab in the navigational bar at the top of the page, or view our tutorial.
- What kind of theme can I setup?
- Girl's Getaway, Guy's Getaway, Birthday, Anniversary, Family Reunion, School/Alumni, Club/Association/Business and Let’s Celebrate.
- How do I book a trip once it is planned?
- For information on how to book your cruise, visit the Planning Tips page and select Booking a Group Cruise.
- The plans for my cruise have changed. Can I change my Carnival Connections event?
- One of the benefits of planning a Carnival Connections cruise is that you can make as many changes as you need to your event so that you and your group agree on your cruise itinerary, sail date and other information.
To make a change to your event, select MY EVENT in the navigational bar at the top of the page. Then select View Invite. On the View Invite page, choose Edit Invite. You can now make your changes, and re-send your invitation.
Note: Only the C.O. (Coordinator) can make changes to an event. - I am having trouble using Carnival Connections. Where can I find help?
- Visit the Carnival Connections tutorial for more help on planning a group cruise.
Pricing and Booking
- Is the price listed in the itineraries the price myself and my guests will pay?
- Prices listed are individual rates, and are subject to change based on availability. If you are planning to cruise with 16 or more people, group discounted rates may be available. Please contact a travel agent or the Carnival Group Cruise Vacation Planner department at 1-866-721-3225.
- How far in advance should I start planning my vacation?
- We recommend you start planning as far in advance as possible. Since rates tend to increase as the sailing approaches, the only way to get the best deals is by booking early.
- Will our staterooms be close together?
- We realize that stateroom location is very important to a lot of our guests. So if deposits and names are received together, we will make every effort to block your rooms as close together as possible.
- Will our staterooms be located underwater?
- All Carnival cruise staterooms are above the water line. In fact, below the lowest passenger deck, we still have 3-4 decks that are used for the crew and staff.
- Will everyone get to eat together in the dining room?
- When you book as a group, you will be given the opportunity to either all sit together in one area of the dining room or have everyone select their own dining times. Remember Carnival offers Total Choice Dining. You can choose from a wonderful variety of casual and formal restaurants serving all types of delicious food. You can even decide whether you want to eat indoors or outdoors. Either way, there is no wrong decision, only fabulous food!
- How much of a deposit will we need?
- Our deposits range from $150.00-$400.00 per person depending on the duration of the cruise. Deposits are due 30 days after making a booking.
- Can my group set up a payment plan?
- After the initial deposit, your group can call in payments as often as they like, in the amount of their choice. However, reservations must be paid in full by the final payment date.
- Is the deposit refundable?
- No worries! All cruise payments are completely refundable up until the day before the final payment date.
- Do you have a children’s rate?
- We have rates, which apply to the first and second guest in the stateroom regardless of age. We then offer reduced rates for the third, fourth and fifth guests in the stateroom.
Eight or More Staterooms: (Please contact a travel agent or the Carnival Group Cruise Vacation Planner department at 1-866-721-3225.)
- How many people do I need in my group to qualify for group discounts and/or amenities?
- To qualify for group discounts and/or amenities a group must consist of 16 guests in 8 staterooms or more booked on the same ship and sail date.
- How many people fit in a stateroom?
- Some ships in our fleet have staterooms that can fit up to five guests while others can only accommodate a maximum of four guests. Please check with us if you need accommodations for more than two guests per stateroom.
- Are there any free gifts my group is eligible for?
- If your group consists of 8 staterooms / 16 or more full fared guests, your group can be eligible for the “Fun Points Amenity Program” that may be customized for your group. You can choose items such as a shared cocktail party, group photograph, champagne and chocolates, on board credits, etc. The amenities program is only available on selected sailing dates and is only combinable with group rates.
