Free soda pop in the dining room?

One of the blogged 'tips and tricks' that I read stated that kids get free pop with their meal in the dining room if requested. Anyone know if that is true?  My kids won't drink enough pop to require a "soda card" but the occasional 'kiddie cocktail' would be fun for them. If I can include it in the price,  then that is even better....Thank you in advance for your advice!!

We had to pay even in the dining room. My kids don't drink much soda at home so spending a few $ here and there for coffee drinks or a soda didn't add up to be much. They are used to juice, lemonade, tea and water. All of which are free.

I have never seen free soda anywhere.  Good Luck!

I think 2 drinks a day, for the kids price, pays for itself.  The soda card includes some special "fizzy" juices or "kiddie" cocktails, that my kids always liked.  Just ask the waiter to take care of it.

As far I know, soda is not included with any meals, kiddie or otherwise, even in the supper club.  Though, my kid ordered all adult meals while we were on the cruise.

I did get my kid one of those four-soft-drink gift cards, and he used it just at dinner, in the dining room.  That was enough soda for him.

BTW, my kid discovered that he liked lemonade, and actually "consumed" all the free lemonade he could from the Lido deck.

Just a note, that sometimes it "appears" that kid's get free drinks, but what happens, is your wait staff on the first night will ask for the soda card, and since they are highly trained, they will know the next night and not bother you with such formalities, so it might appear, no one is checking, but they know already!
