    pride and wine

still kind of a newbie, and the last cruise i was on was with the parents so wine wasn't really considered to be brought on board... i know what they have on thier website, but as both my cousin and myself (both over 21) are big on wine we were going to try and push our luck, do the limit with the 'good stuff' and then bring a few extra lesser expensive bottles in case we have to discard of them.  It seems to be that there's been a mixed bag with carnival, when we were on teh sensation this summer you could have opened a bar with some of the carry on luggage people were bringing (our neighbors included, it was absolutely amazing. they had the entire bar in the cat. 12 lined with bottles).  So anyone who's tried to skirt the rules, have you been successful, or not?  thanks!!

I was on the Pride a couple of weeks back and I will say this...  At port during xray of my carryon, they were very specific about saying I can have only 2 bottles (I only did have 2)..  So, to me that said they were checking and enforcing at least the carryon...  Not sure if others did the suitcase route...

and this is a carnival site... and they have people that read the posts.... so that said...  Carnival says only 1 bottle of wine per person over the age of 21.  no other alcohol is allowed to be brought onboard with you.
