There aren't really any attractions in Cocoa Beach, it is a small little surfer town. There are some great surf shops for shopping and some cute little beach bars for drinks and food(not really on the beach, on the other side of the dunes). The closest attractions that I can think of would be going into Orlando which is about 40 miles away. When we go to Cocoa Beach(every year) we rent a car. The car rental shuttle will pick you up at the ship and bring you back when you return the car. There is also a shuttle the ship offers for like $15 all day but it only stops at certain places and we found it easier to rent than walk all over town. I guess it depends on the ages of the family and what they like to do.
