Roll Call Liberty - Nov 14/09

Anyone cruising on the Liberty on Nov 14/09 out of Miami?

We are from Ottawa, Canada, so it should be pretty cold by the time we leave, There was already frost this morning,(temp around -2 0C). This is our first cruise out of Miami. What is the best time to arrive at the port? Also, I understand there are two possible Terminals where the ship will be docked (Terminal D ,and E). Which one should we go to?

     Thank you

We are going from Toronto on the 14th from Miami and yes we have frost also. In answer to your query , the ship can be borded as soon as it is ready, the boarding times are guide lines only .We like to go aboard in time for lunch even if the cabins are not quite available.Which dock they will be at I am sure your taxi driver will know or the dock security when you drive in Bon Voyage Vi.

    Hi Vi:

Thanks for the info. We will definitely arrive in time for lunch and maybe even a cold adult beverage.

    Have a great cruise.

The Carnival web site states that for the Port of Miami, you should be able to start boarding around 12:30pm, but if they have the ship ready earlier, then I'm sure you can board then.

Hi:  My wife & I will be travelling with you guys for our first cruise.  we live north of Toronto.  I've been doing lots of reseach and I think it's going to be a blast.  I know I'll enjoy the cruise so much more if there is snow on the ground when we leave.  One question I have...is there a place where we can buy bottled water before we board the ship?  We are going to be arriving shortly before boarding by Air Transat bus, so we won't be able to drive around Miami much before we board.   We are on the Upper Deck on the Starboard side up front.

Hope to see you guys there....

    Hey Dug!

My wife and I, along with my Sis and and her DH will be on the Liberty on Nov 14th. This is only our second cruise, so still lots to learn. We had a blast on our last cuise aboard the Carnival Legend. We are on the Verandah deck, port side. Regarding your question about the water. The ship has there own very elaborate Water purification system so the water is probably safer than in most cities. Hope to meet lots of great people on board. Only 25 more days to. Can't wait. I so need a vacation.

     Bon Voyage!

It sounds like the airport is the best bet for purchasing bottled water either Pearson or Miami. All airports have water for sale after clearing immigration!  Not so enthusiastic about snow before we leave though!!!

We are North of Toronto also and really looking forward to the cruise, sunshine and Sea!!

Thanks....I am already to go, just need to pack, maybe buy a Hawaiian shirt, but everything else is a go. I think we are going to stay on the Beach in Bahamas, SHop and Beach in St. Thomas, SIte seeing in San Juan...& not sure for Grand Turks.  Do you think it would be ok to wear sandals with my suit on formal night?  Just to show I come from North of Toronto....

    Hey Dug:

Thanks for reminding me about a Hawaiian shirt. I'll have to get a new one as well. A Hawaiian shirt photo is a must on a cruise for sure. As for the sandals, I think they're ok as long as they're not flip flops. Here is the link for Carnival's Drees code.
