    LAX or ONT

My husband thinks he wants to cruise on the Splendor out of LA next spring.  I have been looking at airfare, and I can save about $350 if we fly into Ontario instead of LAX.  Good idea???  Bad idea???

My biggest concern would then be transportation to the port, but I was thinking we could come in a day early and rent a car.  But then my biggest concern would be driving in LA.  I'm not afraid to drive in big cities, but LA seems so intimidating!!

    Any thoughts.....comments....tales of woe?

I live in close to LAX, Ontario and Burbank.  If given the choice I would go to Ontario. Have you checked the rates directly into Long Beach? They are usually less than LAX also.

The drive to LongBeach from Ontario is not bad depending on the time of day. On Sunday morning it is a breeze and from Ontario will take about an hour.   From Ontario you could get on the 60 or the 10 freeway and go to the 710...

Thanks, Sage.  I have not checked the rates into Long Beach (not sure I knew there was an AP there - lol), but I will.

Most people don't think about that airport.  Airport code is LGB, and Jet Blue would probably be your best bet for an airline!
