We understand the best time to see whales is from January thru March.  Is January a good time to see whales and which port is better Mazatlan or Cabo? 

Any help would be appreciated. 

From the roll call I think we are on the same cruise. After a while of looking on the internet we decided to do the Whale Wacthing out of Cabo but have not booked anything yet.

We are on the Splendor leaving January 31st.  We have decided on the zodiak whale watching also, but won't book until we talk to someone at the excursion desk to see if there have been many whales spotted on prior excursions. 

Yes Splendor on January 31st. I think we will be on the Catamaran one, I do like your idea of checking with the excursion desk first I never thought of that.
