It there anyone out there that knows which ship the Music Society Band is on? My wife was a frequent cruiser over 15 years ago and we know that the band is still on board one of the ships. Recently we've researched them to be on the Destiny, Liberty and Victory. We are booked on the Liberty Dec 5th 2009 and got excited when we thought the band might be on it. But it is so hard to find out which ship has what band until you board. Can anyone help....please?

I just returned home from my first Carnival cruise and it happened to be on the Carnival Liberty. I very much enjoyed seeing Music Society every night and am pleased to report that they will be on the Liberty until January 2010 so you and your wife will be able to enjoy them as well. I have to say I'm a bit jealous. They are absolutely amazing!

We have been trying to track down which ship there are on for quite some time now......My wife and Sister-in-law were Music Society Band "groupies" lol way back when Freddie and Ike were still in the band which have been replaced The excisting members now are still Cyrus and Rene. Not sure of the newcomers names. But my wife  and Sister-in-law are exstatic about them being on the ship. They did not know that I have been researching the band to see what ship they are on......when I told them They said "Are you kidding??" WOW They are the best!

I'm glad to help! My friends and I quickly became "groupies" ourselves. Cyrus is still there and Rene on drums, the newcomers are Louie on bass and Gilbert on the keyboard. I kind of fell in love with Gilbert...lol.

 I love this post.  My favorite band is "Music Boardwalk" .  I've seen them 3x so I guess you can call me a groupie.  I'm looking forward to seeing them in 2010 again.  Ike is now in the "Music Unlimited".  I've seen him on the Miracle and they are there till December.  Ike is a great drummer.  He also has an awesome guartist, Aldo. I have is e-mail address if you like.  I try and keep in touch with these bands for the purpose of seeing them on my next cruise. 

Since we are talking favorite Carnvial cruise ship bands. My favorite band is ***MUSIC MOTION***.  I am by far one of their biggest fans and definitely also a groupie. Maybe there should be a User Group for Groupies   I tracked them down last year on the Spirit but missed seeing them by two months. I hear they are now on the Freedom. I saw them for the first time on the Conquest and fell in love with their amazing talents.  I am hoping I can catch up with them again on another ship soon.  I watch their videos on Youtube over and over again just to get my fix. I have also seen many of the other bands on Youtube and can not believe how talented they all are.

Thanks Mary49 for the e-mail. ...and we will post a full review of our cruise and of the band (MSB) upon our return. But for now we don't want to talk about return!!  lol We want to go cruising!!  52 more days till we get our sea legs back! I've been walking rather straight lately and need to get back into the "sway" of things! Carnival smokestack shaped drinking glasses filled with yummy stuff "Fun ship special" or "Goom Bay Smash" or just a plain "Double Dark Rum and Coke" (my personal favorite) Then there are the unresistable "Warm Melting Chocolate Cakes" OMG....I could not get enough of those nasty things last crusie......I can already taste them now just thinking about it. I had our waiter well trained by the third night.......Warm melting chocolate cake after every meal........a great 1000 calories each serving......yummy! LOL   good thing I have a great motabolisim......never gain an ounce!!! 130 pounds since I was 21 I can eat a hole in the ship's Galley through all the warm melting chocolate cakes and they wouldn't know what happened!! lol I wanna go cruising NOW! lol

So are you serious about trying to get a new user group added? I was just joking, but it  really isnt a bad idea. Also it would be an room where people can locate the ship their favorite bands are on. That is the number one question asked about the bands.  I just havent seen many new postings regarding the bands lately. So maybe there should be a thread added first for example, Who's your favorite Carnival music band?  Just to get an idea of the number of responses.
