Do you need a list of suggested items to pack?  I have a spreadsheet (OK...call me Martha Stewart!!), but it helps me and I can track what I pack in my carry on and what gets packed in the checked bag.  Not sure I can attach a document here, but if you send me an email, I will send to you.  Penny

 We just booked our cruise a few days ago its going be my boyfriend an I ...cant wait Dec 7  is my 23rd bday an my first time on a cruise so im so excited an hope everything goes great. I had a question we booked the fun saver where they pick ur room ocean view an just wanted to see if thats a good choice I dont know how to see what the room number is so I cant see where it i. Hey everyone..

The clock is ticking down!!  I leave for New Orleans in 7 weeks.  So much to do at work and with a community organization I volunteer with...but it will be worth it.  And oh yea..sure would be nice to have some Christmas shopping done.  Last year I cruised the week right before Christmas.  If that doesn't get you organized, I don't know what does.  So far there are what? less than 10 of us on the ship from this posting!!  LOL  Won't have a problem getting a deck chair in the sun!  I am starting to look at items I need to pack and getting the itch to begin!

I've never looked forward to a cruise as much as this one.

I even found out our possible menus. It'll be interesting to see if they match the real thing. I hope I can meet everyone. I'll have my red shirt and "Progresso" hat. Maybe a little tag saying "Too Blessed To Be Streesed"

Mojitos here I come!

Hi there..

I am with you...although have never had a Mojito...but need to put that on my list of "to do's".  This will be my first cruise alone and looking forward to meeting lots of people, but also having some relaxation time.  My job is stressful and my volunteer job as a Board president of our local YWCA is even more stressful.  I need some much deserved down time!!  Looking forward to finding you two on board.  You look so happy!

We were happy to be cruising together. BW had just had two major ops and decided life was just too darn short to put the good stuff on hold so she moved our cruise from March of '09 to Nov. of '08. She and I were just glad that she was well and I was just glad that my best friend would be with me a while longer. Selfish I know but  so what?

Mojito is like a Carribean Mint Julep and a first cousin to a Marguerita.

Those and Guinness are my favorites cruising.

I worked for a time with the Board President in New Orleans and "stressfull" doesn't  even begin to describe it. Kudos to you. Look forward to seeing your face in the place.

 If you see a  celebration at first night dinner that'll probably be us.(Nephew's)

I have never been on a 5 night cruise.  The other cruises were 7 nights with 2 formal nights.  Does anyone know what night is formal night on this cruise?

Checking the menu for that day the 'Duet of Broiled Main Lobster and Black Tiger Shrimp" is offered so I guess "dress up night" is Tuesday.

Are you a past cruiser or do you have a few under your belt?

Well, let's see.  I have been known to knock down a Margarita or two...so will just have to give that "cousin" a try!!    Yes sir, you are right.  Stressful doesn't begin to describe this past year as a Board President.  We had to close some programs which really upset a lot of people.  They didn't understand about Revenues have to exceed Expenses!

Anyone going to the ruins in Progreso?  And I just can't wait to see this 5 mile pier.  That has to be awesome!  A little over 5 weeks to go.  Funny how fast it all will go. 

It's pretty impressive. Can't really grasp it unless seen from a distance.

We are going on this cruise with our 2 children (8 &  4).  This will be interesting!  It will be my 3rd cruise; but first with Carnival and first with kids.
