I'm glad I could be of some help! I know exactly what excursion you are talking about in Belize, tony and I did that same one the 1st time we were in Belize. It was a really good trip, the boat ride up the river was nice, saw a lot of Iguanas and monkeys even a couple of Crocs...The ruins were ok too. At the point where we got out of the river boat and were loading into the bus, for the ride to the ruins, they gave us time to order and eat a traditional Belize lunch...if they still do it, you have to try this!! It was roasted chicken, with red beans and rice cooked in coconut milk, it was simply delicious!! We also bought a bottle of cashew wine, that was wonderful. I am looking forward to buying a few bottles of the wine this trip, as I've never seen it in the States! You will certainly enjoy that excursion, just remember your hat and sunscreen for the boat trip, it was a long ride in the sun and no shade!
We always skip dinner in the dining room the first night, so we can be on deck going under the skyway. Besides, you will eat so much from the time we board, who wants to eat again at 6PM??? I too, saw the same Samantha Brown cruise aboard the Inspiration out of Tampa
